Giles, Glover win BTE rankings in European Fives

Andy Giles (left), who has been on a reduced bowling schedule for the last three years since last making the Brunswick Team England squad, won his first ranking event with a 2490 (226 average) total over the 11 games of the singles and team event.

He was 128 clear of second placed Nick Froggatt (214), while in third was Damian Gray.

In the ladies event, Zara Glover (right) won her fourth title of the season shooting 2350 (213 average) – Jo Allsebrook and Jemma Smith were second and third respectively, the only other two ladies to average over 200.

Giles and Ann Smith won their Singles elements of the tournament, while Powerplay A headed Rollrite Pro Shop and Team Midas 2 in the Team element.
