2009 European Bowling Tour Masters to be held in Aalborg

The European Tenpin Bowling Federation has announced that the 2009 European Bowling Tour Masters will be held from May 25-27, 2009 at Lovvang Bowling Center in Aalborg, Denmark.

The ETBF Presidium decided at a meeting in Barcelona, Spain, on October 11-12 to accept the offer from ETBF Vice President and Lovvang Bowling Center manager, Kim Thorsgaard Jensen, to host the event in conjunction with the 2009 Brunswick Aalborg International, which is scheduled for May 18-24. There were no other bids.

The EBT Masters 2009 will feature the top 16 women and the top 16 men from the 2008 European Bowling Tour rankings. The 3-day event includes 24 games of qualifying on short, long and short/long oil with the top 8 advancing to the best-of-three single-elimination match play.

The inaugural EBT Masters will be held in September 2008 in Ankara, Turkey.
