Gold and Silver for Korea in Women's Doubles at Asian Indoor Games

2007AIGWomenDoubles2.jpg The Korean bowlers continued to dominate the Macau 2nd Asian Indoor Games bowling competition when they captured the gold and silver medal in women's doubles.

Gye Min Young, who led in singles after qualifying but walked away empty-handed, and Gang Hye Eun, seeded third, defeated their compatriots, singles champion Choi Jin A and Kim Yeau Jin, the No. 1 seeds, in the title match, 391-381.

The Koreans ousted the two doubles from China in the semi-finals. Second seeded Chen Dongdong/Wu Suqin and 4th seeded Zhang Yuhong/Yang Suling shared the bronze medal.

The competition will continue with the men's and women's 4-player team qualifying on Wednesday and Thursday and concludes with the team finals (top 4 teams after qualifying) on Friday.
