Abela, Luciano move into second and third in the women division at QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup

2007BWCSashaLuciano.jpg 2007BWCSueAbela3.jpg Sue Abela (left) from Malta, who led Squad A after the first round of six games and was third overall, moved into second place with 2592 12 game total after she led Squad A fort he second consecutive day.

Abela trails leader Sun Hee Lee from Korea (2636) by 44 pins. Sasha Luciano (right), Puerto Rico, was 24 pins behind Abela to move into third place overall with 2568. Tina Hulsch of Germany is fourth with 2565.

Women's Division Block 2

Qualifying continues on Tuesday with the third block of six games. The women will bowl at 8am (Squad B) and 11.30am (Squad A) and the men follow at 3 pm (Squad B) and 7.00 pm (Squad A) local time (GMT +3).

All players will bowl 24 games of qualifying (4 blocks of six games from Sunday, Nov. 4 through Wednesday, Nov. 7) to cut to the top 24 men and top 24 women.

Those 24 will bowl eight games with the qualifying pinfall being carried forward. The top 8 men and the top 8 women after 32 games will bowl another 8-game block to cut to the top 3 for the TV stepladder finals.
