BowlingsClashofChampionsLogo_small.jpg Bowling's Clash of Champions will bring together 16 champions of USBC events and the U.S. Open ranging in age from teenagers to seniors competing for $100,000 in prize money on national television.

The event will take place May 7-8 at the USBC Convention in Kansas City, Mo., and taped for broadcast on CBS Sports May 10 from 5-6 p.m. Eastern and May 11 from 4-5 p.m. Eastern.

As the unique made-for-television event Bowling's Clash of Champions, presented by the United States Bowling Congress and Strike Ten Entertainment, gets closer, USBC is profiling each of the 16 participants in the event.

Meet Brittni Hamilton and Jason Price

* How they qualified: Each player won their respective divisions in the 190 average and over all-events at the 2007 USBC Youth Open Championships in Buffalo, N.Y., in July.

2008CoCBrittniHamilton.jpg * About Brittni Hamilton: Recently named the USBC Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow, Hamilton, 17, of Webster, N.Y., is a senior at Webster Thomas High School and has signed a letter of intent to bowl at Vanderbilt University next season. In her time as a USBC Youth member, Hamilton has accumulated $30,000 in scholarships through bowling, and in 2006, she won the Teen Masters, which was broadcast on ESPN.

* Hamilton's thoughts: "I am very excited for this event. I feel as though it will be a great opportunity and a unique experience. I try to approach every tournament with an open mind, positive attitude and determination with hopes of becoming a champion in the end."

2008CoCJasonPrice.jpg * About Jason Price: A 21-year-old from Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Price claimed his first national title when he won at the USBC Youth Open Championships. He's won numerous regional junior bowling titles and finished among the top 10 at the Teen Masters twice.

* Price's thoughts: "I am honored to be a part of this new and very prestigious event. I think it will be a lot of fun and a great experience. Being able to compete with some of the top bowlers in the country will be a lot of fun and can only make me better. I am not going to put any pressure on myself or set any expectations for the week. We are all capable of breaking out and having a big week, so it should be an exciting and even more entertaining week."

* About the USBC Youth Open Championships: Developed in the same vein as the USBC Open Championships and USBC Women's Championships, the USBC Youth Open Championships made its debut in 2007, allowing youth bowlers of all abilities to compete for national titles. Players compete in several different average divisions for titles in singles, doubles, team and all-events. The inaugural event drew nearly 1,900 USBC Youth members from across the country. The 2008 USBC Youth Open Championships will be held in Detroit from July 7-15.
