USBC names Jim Oberholtzer as Technology VP

USBCLogoRed_small.jpg United States Bowling Congress Chief Operating Officer Kevin Dornberger announced that Jim Oberholtzer of New Berlin, Wis., has been named as Vice President--Technology.

Oberholtzer will be primarily responsible for four USBC IT-related areas which include data center/technical support, applications development, customer systems and Web development.

Oberholtzer comes to USBC from Logicalis, based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., where he was a technical architect. He served as a subject matter expert for IBM concentrating in the areas of System i design, implementation, logical partitioning and system administration. He is a certified information technology architect and is IBM-certified in numerous other IT-related disciplines.

While with Logicalis, Oberholtzer also recently directed an audit of USBC's IT operations.

"Having an effective IT operation is critical to the effective operation of our organization as it is for all large businesses," said Dornberger. "As our organization moves forward, Jim's expertise and leadership in this area will ensure we stay on the leading edge of technology to help us best serve our membership and associations."
