2008 PABCON Championship of the Champions
Galaxy Bowling Center in San Salvador, El Salvador (June 2-6, 2008)
The Pan American Bowling Confederation (PABCON) will conduct its 1st Championship of the Champions tournament from June 2 to 6, 2008 at Galaxy Bowling Center in San Salvador, El Salvador. Two players - one woman and one man - from each of the PABCON member federations will bowl on dual lane condition for the titles in Women's and Men's Singles and Mixed Doubles.
The top four women and the top 4 men after 16 games qualifying and the top 4 duos after eight games qualifying will advance to finals. The semi-final matches will be decided in one game, while the championships matches are in best two of three games format.
The 2008 PABCON Championship of the Champions also serves as the qualifying event for the World Games 2009 which will be held in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, July 20-22, 2009. The top eight countries in all events (2 x 16 games Singles, 8 games Mixed doubles - 48 games overall) will earn their spots for the prestigious quadrennial event.
