World Bowling has announced that the 2017 World Championships for men and women will be moved to South Point Hotel Casino, Las Vegas, United States. The dates of the championships will be from November 24 to December 4, 2017.

The World Bowling Congress will be held on December 6, 2017. Bulletin 1 for the 2017 WC will be distributed to all federations within the week of May 15.

The Championships which was due to be held in Kuwait City in December has had to change location due to unforeseen delays with the construction of the Kuwait Bowling Center. World Bowling Executive Board have instead awarded the 2021 World Championships hosting rights to Kuwait.

Kevin Dornberger, CEO of World Bowling, said “The delays in construction meant that we could not be certain that the new facility would be ready in time. South Point Hotel and Casino provides an excellent back up choice and we are certain that the change in location will have no effect on the event itself. We are very much looking forward to the completion of the world class facility being built in Kuwait and anticipate an excellent event being held there in 2021.”
