Record 50 countries are expected to compete in the 2012 World Youth Championships, which will take place through July 3 at the Blu-O Paragon Bowling Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Maximum four boys and four girls from each country will compete for medals in Singles, Doubles, Team, All Events and Masters match play. The Championships gets underway today with the official practice and the Opening Ceremonies. Real action starts Sunday with the Boys and Girls Singles preliminaries.

Canada will be one of a record 50 countries competing at the 12th World Youth Championships taking place in Thailand. The championships for youth who have not reached their 21st birthday on January 1, 2012 will be held June 22 - July 3 in Bangkok, Thailand at the Blu-O Paragon Bowling Center. Canada's team earned the right to wear the 'red and white' at the 2011 National Championships held at Laurentian Lanes in the Greater Montreal, Quebec area.
Andrew Koff (pictured) of Miami, the defending all-events champion, heads the list of eight Junior Team USA members selected to compete in the 2012 WTBA World Youth Championships this summer. The World Youth Championships will take place June 22 through July 3 at the Blu-O Paragon Bowling Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Participants will compete for medals in five events - Singles, Doubles, Team, All-Events and Masters match play. The selections were determined after a training camp last week at the ITRC.

The Thai Tenpin Bowling Association, host of the 2012 World Youth Championships has released Bulletin No. 3. Forty-six WTBA member federations will be represented by 282 players, 178 boys and 104 girls, and 95 officials at the championships, which will be held at Blu-O Paragon Bowling Center in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 22-July 3. Each team consists of maximum four girls and four boys, who must be born between Jan. 1st, 1991 and Dec. 31st, 1998.
