Shannon Pluhowsky crowned Girls Masters champion in Pattaya

    U.S. National Amateur Champion Shannon Pluhowsky rolled games of 210, 212 and 213 to become the Girls Masters champion at the 7th World Youth Tenpin Bowling Championship at P.S. Bowl in Pattaya, Thailand. Pluhosky, seeded third, sidelined Kim Ho-Jung, Korea, 210-193, in the opening match for the right to bowl Ho-Jung's compatriot Hong Soo-Yeon for the title. Being down by three pins after game #1, Pluhowsky rebounded with a 212-178 seal the 429-390 victory.

    Hong Soo-Yeon of Korea is the top seed in the girls' masters stepladder finals of the 7th World Youth Championship at P.S. Bowl in Pattaya, Thailand. Soo-Yeon averaged 214,69 in the match play and compiled a 12-4 won-record. Her teammate Kim Ho-Jung leaped three spots during the second block to land in second place with a 11-5 won-lost record and a 208,31 average overall. Shannon Pluhowsky (photo), United States, fell one spot but mustered up enough to grab the final spot for the finals with 204,44 average and a 10-6 record. Korean Kim So-Youn missed the cut by 47 pins to land in fourth place.
