Mark Davis (pictured with Len Nicholson, left), younger brother of the late John Davis, founder of the Kegel Company, has been named the 2014 recipient of the John Davis Award. The surprise presentation was made at International Bowl Expo in Orlando, Fla. The award is presented annually to a deserving person who is actively involved in trying to advance the sport of bowling. A perpetual plaque, bearing each recipient's name, is on permanent display at the Kegel Training Center in Lake Wales, Fla.

A milestone in the history of bowling was made June 25 when former U.S. President George W. Bush stepped to the stage at the 2014 International Bowl Expo. The Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA) invited the two-term president and former Texas governor to participate in a roundtable discussion at this year's Bowl Expo, which will be held from June 22-26 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Former Disney training head Doug Lipp to kick off Monday, June 23, Educational Program
The Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA) has announced Doug Lipp, former head of Disney University's training team, will kick off the educational programming with a Thought Leader Session at International Bowl Expo Xtreme 2014 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida, June 22-26, 2014. The session is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. EST, Monday, June 23, following BPAA's annual meeting. The session, sponsored by Brunswick, kicks off two days of educational
seminars and workshops.
