QubicaAMF signs on as PBA Regional Tour partner

Sponsorship agreement bolsters prize funds across PBA's extensive regional program

The Professional Bowlers Association has announced a partnership agreement has been signed with QubicaAMF Worldwide, the world leader in bowling capital equipment and state-of-the-art automatic scoring technologies, that will bolster the extensive QubicaAMF PBA Regional Tour program. Under the partnership agreement, QubicaAMF's participation assures the prize funds for the more than 150 tournaments conducted in the PBA's seven domestic regions.

Dom Barrett signs with Track Bowling

2016PBA01DomBarrett_small.jpg Track Bowling has announced the signing of Dom Barrett to its national pro staff. Barrett, nicknamed "The Dominator", is a four-time PBA title champion, claiming the 2011-12 Scorpion Open, 2013 and 2014 Qatar Open titles, as well as a major title with the 2013 PBA World Championship. "I'm extremely excited to be part of the Track and EBI family," Barrett said. "I was briefly on Ebonite staff in 2008 and it feels really good to be back where I started my international career."

Ebonite International extends sponsorship of Teen Masters through 2017


Ebonite International has announced a multi-year extension of its sponsorship of one of the nation's premier junior bowling events, The Teen Masters. This extension guarantees sponsorship through 2017. The tournament has a rich, 19-year history of producing champions, many of which have gone on to claim college titles and even spots on Team USA. This history of excellence on the lanes is fostered through the use of challenging oil patterns and restrictions on bowling balls used.

Eric Pierson joins Kegel Team as Technical Support Manager

The company is based in Lake Wales, Fla., where it operates its manufacturing, quality control, software development, chemical production and packaging, technical support, Kegel Connection Pro Shops, Foundation300 and its world renowned Kegel Training Center. As Technical Support Manager, Pierson will lead the team of Kegel Techs which offers 24/7 support to bowling centers worldwide. He will begin his position later this spring.

Kegel LLC completes ownership transition

Linda Davis, co-founder and wife of company founder John Davis, has redeemed her share of ownership in the LLC, leaving the Mitchell family as the sole shareholders of Kegel. Members of the Mitchell family have held a minority interest in the business since 2003. Jonathan Mitchell, managing member of Kegel LLC, has named Chris Chartrand, formerly Kegel LLC President, as its new CEO.

NFL Foundation Bowling Tournament to celebrate Super Bowl 50

Entry fees include a $3,500 contribution to the NFL Foundation for a bowling team of four and $250 for a non-bowling spectator

2016NFLFoundationLogo_small.jpg The 10th annual NFL Foundation Bowling Tournament will take place on Friday, Feb. 5 from 4-9 p.m. at Lucky Strike San Francisco (200 King St.). The tournament is partnering with the NFL Legends Community to celebrate Super Bowl 50. Teams of amateur bowlers will be captained by NFL Legends, Super Bowl MVPs and Pro Football Hall of Famers. Proceeds from the 'Legends on the Lanes' event will benefit the NFL Foundation to support NFL Legends' philanthropic initiatives.

Hammer announces expansion of its national pro staff

Brunswick Bowling welcomes Chinese Bowling Association to the U.S.

2015CBADelegationatITRC_small.jpgFor the first time, a delegation from the Chinese Bowling Association (CBA) visited the United States, hosted by Brunswick Bowling Products and Frank Zhao of Longmarch Bowling, a Brunswick distributor in the People's Republic of China. CBA members were in Reno, Nevada the week of December 6 to compete in the PBA World Series of Bowling. After the tournament, they traveled to Arlington, Texas, and met with directors from BPAA and USBC.

Museum teams with Monterey Media to save world-class film collection

Bowlers from across the country came to Allen Park to compete for staff contracts from MOTIV Bowling on four different lane patterns over a two-day period.
