Patrick Rolland, Angie Brown victorious at French Senior Open

2012ISBT09AngieBrownPatrickRolland_small.jpgFormer World Champion Patrick Rolland (r.) captured his first title on the 2012 International Seniors Bowling Tour and England's Angie Brown (l.) won her third title of the season in the French Senior Open in Lille, France. The ninth stop on the 2012 Tour was held from Sept. 19-23 at Planet Bowling, just outside of Lille in France. This was the third running of this tournament, which becomes more popular year by year. This year it attracted 91 men and 17 women.

Ulf L├Ânngren, Christiane K├╝hn capture the titles at 2012 Belgian Senior Open

2012ISBT08ChristianeKuhnUlfLonngren_small.jpg Ulf L├Ânngren of Sweden and Germany's Christiane K├╝hn (r-l) captured the men's and women's title at the 2012 Belgian Senior Open, the eighth stop on the 2012 International Seniors Bowling Tour, which was held at the Bowlmaster Club in Brussels, Belgium. It was the first title this season for L├Ânngren and the second for the Swedish men. K├╝hn, who earned her first career senior title, made it three-in-a-row for Germany in the women's division.

Germany's Carlo Greulich, Marianne Pelz sweep titles at 7th Schiedam Senior Open

Germany's Marianne Pelz (and Carlo Greulich (r-l) swept the women's and men's title at the 7th Schiedam Senior Open Sunday at Chandra Bowling in Schiedam, Netherlands. The seventh stop on the International Seniors Bowling Tour, traditionally the most popular event on the tour, attracted 126 men and 36 women. The next stop is a return to Belgium and Bowlmaster bowling center in Brussels for the Belgium Senior Open from August 15-18, 2012.

Roger Pieters (l.) of Belgium and Gisela Insinger (r.) of Germany won the men's and women's title in the Flanders Senior Open. The sixth stop on the 2012 International Seniors Bowling Tour was held from July 16-22 at the Real bowling center just outside Gent in Belgium. This is traditionally a popular event, and this year it attracted 78 men and 23 women

Chris Vandamme, Sabine Leutwiler take the titles in Alsace Senior Open

2012ISBT03SabineLeutwilerChrisVandamme_small.jpgSabine Leutwiler of Switzerland and Belgium's Chris Vandamme walked away the winners in the Alsace Senior Open, the third stop on the 2012 International Seniors Bowling Tour. Vandamme posted the highest pinfall total and won five of seven games in match play to finish 49 pins ahead of Patrick Rolland, France, to claim the men's title. Leutwiler was able to weather a late charge by Yvette Murrath to finish 17 pins ahead of the Belgian to earn the women's title.

2012ISBT02AngieBrownJanWeideman_small.jpg Dutchman Jan Weideman and England's Angie Brown claimed the men's and women's title in Arthur's 7th Senior Open, the second stop on the 2012 International Seniors Bowling Tour. It was the second ISBT women's title for Brown 2012 in as amyn events. Brown threw a double in the very last frame to beat Barbara Karnasch, Germany, by five pins. Weideman rocketed from 10th to first place in the last four games to beat out Germany's Utz Dehler for the men's title by 20 pins.

Oldfield led the men's division by 253 pins while Brown outdistanced her nearest competitor by 271 pins.

Defending champion Ron Oldfield (l.), England, claimed his fifth ISBT celebrating a 4-pin victory over Ernst Berndt, Austria, in the men's division. Erna Buysse (r.), Belgium, led the women's field from wire to wire to earn her first ISBT title.

In the ISBT rankings, Vandamme was the runaway victor, followed by Ron Oldfield, England and Dominique De Nolf, Belgium. Farida Pascoal-Blom, Netherlands won the female rankings for the year, followed by Liliane Vintens, Belgium and Angie Brown, England.

Fehling finished the women's 3-game round robin with 235 and 223 to win the women's title by 76 pins over Martina Beckel, Germany. De Nolf scored over 200 in every game including 276, 279 and a 299 in the penultimate game to take a narrow win from Ernst Berndt, Austria, by only 16 pins.

Angie Brown (pictured right), England, and Chris Vandamme (left), Belgium captured their second on the inaugural International Seniors Bowling Tour when they claimed the women's and men's title in the French Senior Open Sunday, Sept. 5 at Planet Bowling in Lomme, France. As the 7th stop on the popular ISBT clashed with the Irish Senior Open, only 53 men and 13 women traveled to northern France to take part in the French Senior Open.

Oldfield won his fourth ISBT title by mere four pins over Andr├ę Geelen, Belgium, while Vintens had a 67-pin cushion over Angie Brown, England, to win her second title in the women's division.

It was the third title on the Tour for Oldfield who also won the first and the third event in Monheim, and in Buxtehude, both Germany. Vintens, who is the president of the ISB Tour, celebrated her first victory.

Germany, with a bang. Horne fired the tournament's first 300 game Wednesday in Squad 2 and finished with 1445 six-game total including 42 pins age bonus, a sratch average of 233.83. Thomas Witt, Germany, leads the men's qualifying with 2646 12-game total. Former Dutch standout Farida Pascoal-Blom sets the tone in the women's division with 1259 total.

All ten tournaments on the 2010 ISBT will have separate divisions for men and women and separate prize funds.

Plans unveiled for new International Seniors Bowling Tour 2010

ISBTLogo_small.jpgA group of tournament directors representing the most popular Seniors tournaments in Belgium, England, Germany and Netherlands have decided to leave the European Bowling Proprietors' Association (EBPA) Senior Tour and to run their own International Seniors Bowling Tour starting in March 2010. Past Belgium national team member Liliane Vintens was elected president of the ISBT. It was agreed that all tournaments of the ISBT should be sanctioned by the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF).
