Three Dutch and one German women's national team members finished atop the leaderboard of the second qualifying squad in the Chandra Open Tuesday at Chandra Bowling in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. Ghislaine van der Tol (pictured), Netherlands, led the squad with 1368 total and an average of 220 to move into third place in the overall qualifying standings. Oliver Pescher and Dirk Dreyer of Germany held onto the lead with 1379 and 1369, respectively. Qualifying continues Wednesday, Sept. 26 with Squad 3 scheduled for 8 p.m. CEST.

31 players took to the lanes at Chandra Bowling in Nieuwegein, Netherlands for the opening squad of the Chandra Open 2012 Monday evening. Oliver Pescher (pictured) of Germany started his six-game series with 218, 257, 224 and 235 before he suffered a 145 in the fifth. Pescher, however, rebounded from the low game by rolling the tournament's first 300 game en route to grab the lead with 1379 and an average of 229.83. Qualifying continues Tuesday, Sept. 25 with Squad 2 scheduled for 8 p.m. CEST.

Marshall Kent (l.) of the United States defeated Oleksandr Kalika (r.) of Ukraine, 419-323, to win the Russian Open Saturday at Cosmik Belay Dacha in Moscow, Russia. It was the first career title on the European Bowling Tour for the 19-year-old Team USA member, who pocketed 5.500 Euro for the win. in the semifinals. In the semifinals, Kent eliminated Oleksandr's brother, defending champion Mykhaylo Kalika, 507-400.

Marshall Kent (l.) of the United States led a group of 36 players into the finals of the Russian Open Saturday at Cosmik Belay Dacha in Moscow, Russia. The Team USA member, who totaled 1478 pins (246.33 average) in the first Squad, outaveraged his nearest competitor, Squad 11 leader Andrey Suslov of Russia, by more than 10 pins. Pavel Sobolev, Belarus, hit the cutoff number for 32nd place with 1263 (210.50). Joining the top 32 in the finals were the top 4 of the Desperado Squad.

Nikita Koshelev (l.) led all bowlers on the third qualifying day in the 2012 Russian Open with 1375 total and an average of 229.17 to overtake second place in the qualifying of the Russian Open in Moscow. The former Russian international had games of 216, 231, 245, 247, 215 and 221 in Squad 7 to narrow the gap to Marshall Kent (r.), to 103 pins. The Team USA member leads the qualifying since the very first squad with 1478 (246.33).

Oleg Kozyrev, Sergey Prokhan, Alexander Medveditskov and Sergey Andreev of Russia moved into the top 8 in the overall qualifying standings of the Russian Open Wednesday at Cosmik Belay Dacha in Moscow. Marshall Kent (pictured left), United States, held on to the lead with 1478 and an average of 246.33. Alexander Minenko of Russia remained in second place with 1352 followed by Kent's fellow countrymen Cameron Weier with 1335. Qualifying continues Thursday, Sept. 13 with Squads 5-8.

Marshall Kent (pictured) of the United States started the European Bowling Tour's Russian Open with a bang as the Team USA member averaged 246.33 in the first squad to take the early qualifying lead Tuesday at bowling center Cosmik Belay Dacha in Moscow, Russia. Kent fired games of 264, 222, 248, 223, 243 and 278 for 1478 total. He outaveraged his nearest competitor by more than 20 pins. Trailing Kent by 126 pins was Alexander Minenko of Russia, who led Squad 2 with 1352 (225.33) including a high game of 245 and a pair of 237s.

The title match of the European Bowling Tour's BNC Open was an all-German affair in which No. 5 seed Bodo Konieczny (l.) topped fellow German national team member Birgit Pöppler (r.), seeded second, in a two-game match, 436-373. Koniezny received 6.000 Euro for his first career victory on the Tour. Pöppler finished second, worth 3.300 Euro, and won the women's ranking in Bratislava, also a first in her career.

Osku Palermaa (pictured) of Finland finished the qualifying of the BNC Bratislava Open in Bratislava, Slovakia, atop the 209-player leaderboard to lead a field of 64 players, 53 men and 11 women, into Sunday's finals. The 13-time European Bowling Tour champion and three-time PBA titlist was the lone player who cracked the 1400-bar with 1405 and an average of 234.17 over six games. Evangelos Tsorbatzoudis of Greece took the 48th and last place to advance with 1224 (204 average).

Osku Palermaa (pictured) of Finland became the first player in the 2012 BNC Open who cracked the 1400-bar to lead the field of 201 players from 21 countries heading into the last qualifying day at BNC Bowling Center in Bratislava, Slovakia. The four-time European Bowling Tour point ranking winner rolled games of 224, 246, 242, 247, 227 and 219 in the penultimate squad on Friday for 1405 total (234.17 average). Qualifying continues on Saturday, Sept. 7 with Squads 21-24 and concludes with the Desperado Squad.

Martin Larsen (l.) of Sweden and Alexander Medveditskov (r.) of Russia powered their way into the lead in the qualifying of the BNC Open Thursday at BNC Bowling Center in Bratislava, Slovakia. Larsen sandwiched games of 185, 226, 209 and 237 between high games of 258 and 264 to overtake the lead in Squad 16 with 1379 (229.83 average). Medveditskov had a 1352 series (225.32) in Squad 14 to finish the day in  second place.

Two Austrian national team bowlers lead a field of 126 players as the qualifying of the BNC Open has reached its halfway point Wednesday in Bratislava, Slovakia. Four-time EBT titlist Thomas Gross (l.) held on to the lead with 1339 six-game total and an average of 223.17. Rene Landl (r.) was the best player of the four qualifying Squads (9-12) on Wednesday with 1322 (220.33) to move into second place in the overall standings.

Thomas Gross (l.) of Austria rolled six games between 200 and 245 Tuesday at BNC Bowling Center in Bratislava, Slovakia, to overtake the lead in the BNC Open after two of six qualifying days. Gross, who won the last of his four European Bowling Tour titles in Bratislava in 2010, totaled 1339 pins, an average of 223.17 for six games, to hold a 36-pin lead over Božo Nagode (r.) of Slovenia, who sits in second place with 1303.

The BNC Open got underway Monday, Sept. 3, with the first four of 24 squads at BNC Bowling Center in Bratislava, Slovakia. Only four out of sixty players from eight countries had an average of 200 or better. Roman Fürbacher (pictured) led the day with 1238 six-game total and an average of 206.33. Rounding out the top four, who will be automatically qualified for the finals if they don't finish in the top 48, were Kamil Bajcsi of Slovakia, Austrian Benjamin Kubalek and Tanner Spacey, United States.

After a six-week hiatus the 2012 European Bowling Tour resumes with the BNC Open in Bratislava, Slovakia. The tournament is the sixth of seven EBT "Silver" tournaments this season and runs from Sept. 3-9 at 16-lane BNC Bowling Center. The BNC Open offers total prize fund of 42.000 Euro with 6.000 Euro going to the winner,. Qualifying gets underway on Monday, Sept. 3, with the first four squads and runs through Saturday, Sept. 8.

The organizers of the Norwegian Open 2012 have announced that Brunswick has agreed to sponsor the event. The Norwegian Open 2012 by Brunswick will be the 17th event of the 2012 European Bowling Tour and the sixth out of seven EBT "Satellite" tournaments this season. In a match between two PBA champions, three-time titlist Osku Palermaa of Finland (center) defeated one-time titlist Dominic Barrett of England (l.) to win the 34th Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona and the 12.000 Euro top prize Sunday at Bowling Pedralbes in Barcelona, Spain. Ildemaro Ruiz of Venezuela (r.) finished third. The stepladder finals were broadcasted live on Eurosport 2. It was the record 13th victory on the European Bowling Tour for Palermaa.

Dominic Barrett of England (l.) won the qualifying of the 34th Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona and leads a field of 48 players into Sunday's finals. Barrett, who rolled the tournament's sole 300 game in an earlier squad, will carry over 50 per cent of his 1484 total (247.33 average). Rebecka Larsen of Sweden (r.) was the best of ten women, who survived the first cut, in second place with 1447 including 48 pins handicap.

Dominic Barrett of England (l.) averaged 247.33 and posted a 1484 series in Squad 10/15 Friday evening at Bowling Pedralbes en route to overtake overall lead in the qualifying of the 34th Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona. The six-time EBT champion and one-time PBA Tour titlist, had games of 210, 259, 222, 269, 278 and 246 to overtake previous leaders Mats Maggi of Belgium and Ildemaro Ruiz of Venezuela (r.) by 60 pins.

Dominic Barrett (pictured) of England rolled the first 300 game of the 34th Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona Thursday night at Bowling Pedralbes to win Squad 7 and to earn an automatic berth into Sunday's finals. The PBA champion moved into third place in the overall qualifying standings with 1418 total, mere six pins behind Mats Maggi of Belgian and Ildemaro Ruiz of Venezuela, who held on to the lead with 1424 total. Qualifying continues Friday, July 20, with Squad 8-11 scheduled for 9 .am., 1, 5 and 9 p.m. CEST.
