The EBT "gold" tournament will run from Sept. 30 - Oct. 6, 2013 at 32-lane Plus Bowling in Vienna, Austria, and offers total prize fund of 75.130 Euro with 7.000 Euro going to the winner. The VO awards a PBA international title if won by a PBA member.

PBA Touring pro earns berth in next week's PBA Tournament of Champions

2013EBT04WinnerRonnieRussellBrentPerrier_small.jpgPBA Touring pro Ronnie Russell, United States, defeated James Gruffman of Sweden, in the championship match of the 10th Brunswick Euro Challenge, 224-210, to claim the title and the 15.000 Euro top prize. Russell, who secured the No. 1 seed for the three-player stepladder finals with a 279 last game in the match play round, earned his first European Bowling Tour title, his first World Bowling Tour title and, due to an agreement between the PBA and the WTBA, his first career PBA international title.

Jazreel Tan of Singapore wins women's ranking at Brunswick Euro Challenge

The lefty, who is looking for his first title on the European Bowling Tour, averaged 253 for six games to lead the Round of 28 with 1518 pins including a 299 game. Gruffman leads the top players, all men, into the next round with the pinfall carried forward. Jazreel Tan of Singapore won the women's ranking.

Finnish bowler dominate the squad; the top 9 position themselves in the top 52; Chris Barnes shoots the seventh perfecto of the tournament; with two squads to go, the cut for 52nd place is 1389 (231.50)

He rolled games of 256, 268, 259, 238, 244 and 258 for 1523. Chris Loschetter (r.), USA, who became the first player to crack the 1500-bar in Squad 9, slipped to second place with 1505. The next 37 bowlers have achieved a series of 1400 and higher.

The dramatic title match between the two left-handed bowlers was decided with the very last shot. Needing three pins on his fill ball to seal the victory, Svensson made a foul to hand the title to Grabrijan on a silver plate.
