Swedes move into fourth and seventh place in the qualifying standings; Arnar David Jonsson (ICE) leads the 97-player field with 1493; cut for 42nd place is currently 1175 (195.83 average)

Karlsson (r.) rolled games of 204, 235 , 206, 268, 237 and 225 to lead Squad 5 with 1375 (229.17 average). Roos (l.), who was second with 1334, improved by 70 pins in Squad 6 to jump into fourth place with 1404 (234 avg.).

Arnar David Jonsson takes pole position in Norwegian Open 2013 by Brunswick

Icelander has 1493 series in squad 2 to take the lead after Day Two Qualifying; cut for 42nd place is currently 1111 (185.17 average)

2013EBt16RudshagenJonssonNygard_small.jpgArnar David Jonsson (center) of Norway started Squad 2 on Saturday at Veitvet Bowling Center in Oslo with a 276 game en route to take the pole position in the qualifying of the Norwegian Open 2013 by Brunswick with 1493 total or an average of 248.83. Norwegian international Bjørn Einar Rudshagen (l.) was 47 pins behind Jonsson to move from third to second place with 1446. Lars-Christian Nygård (r.) was further 33 pins behind to overtake third place with 1413.

Glenn Morten Pedersen takes the early lead in Norwegian Open 2013 by Brunswick

17 Norwegian bowler kick off the EBT Satellite tournament in Oslo

2013EBT0GlennMortenPedersen_small.jpgNorwegian national team member Glenn Morten Pedersen (pictured left) averaged 226.33 in the opening squad of the Norwegian Open 2013 by Brunswick to take the early lead in the EBT Satellite tournament with 1358. Pedersen had games of 214, 258, 236, 200, 227 and 223 to lead a group of 17 Norwegian bowlers who kicked off the tournament Friday at Veitvet Bowling Center in Oslo. As a result of a sponsorship agreement with Brunswick, the NO 2013 has increased the total prize fund to 224.000 NOK (currently 27.625 Euro).

The tournament will be held from Oct. 4-13 at Veitvet Bowling Center in Oslo. 176 players from eight countries have registered for the EBT "Satellite" event, which offers increased total prize fund to 224.000 NOK. Bowlingdigital.com will provide Live Coverage commencing Thursday Oct. 10 all the way through to the finals on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The tournament will be held from Oct. 4-13 at Veitvet Bowling Center in Oslo. As a result of a sponsorship agreement with Brunswick, the NO 2013 has increased the total prize fund to 224.000 NOK (currently 29.425 Euro). Other than in 2012, 60 instead of 40 players will cash. Bowlingdigital.com will provide Live Coverage commencing Thursday Oct. 10 all the way through to the finals.
