Martina Beckel, Steven Jeeves repeat at 11th Dutch Senior Open

2016ISBT06MartinaBeckelStevenJeeves_small.jpgFor the second time this International Seniors Bowling Tour season, Martina Beckel of Germany and Steven Jeeves won the women's and men's title, this time in the Dutch Senior Open which concluded Sunday at Chandra Bowling in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. Beckel and Jeeves (l-r) also won the 50+ Euro Bowling Open in Antwerp, Belgium, in April. With 134 men and 37 women taking part, the numbers included 75 Dutch bowlers, making this the largest tournament on the 2016 ISBT.

2016 International Seniors Bowling Tour features 10 events in 5 countries

2016ISBTLogo_small.jpg The 2016 International Seniors Bowling Tour will consist of 10 tournaments in five countries, three Germany, two each in Belgium, France and The Netherlands, and one in Italy. In each event, men and women age 50 and over bowl in separate divisions. Age bonus starts at age 51 (1 pin per game), then increases a pin for every additional year of age with no limit. The ISBT Masters Finals for the 2015 season will be held on September 2 at Dream-Bowl Palace in Munich, Germany. The 2016 Masters will be held in 2017.

Martina Beckel, Horst Albert victorious at 5th Senior Open in Böblingen

2016ISBT05MartinaBeckelHorstAlbert_small.jpgMartina Beckel and Horst Albert took the titles at the 5th Senior Open at Dream-Bowl in Böblingen, Germany. The fifth stop on the 2016 International Seniors Bowling Tour (ISBT) was the second visit of the year to Germany. In all-German title matches, Beckel defeated Karin Lischka, 213-197, to become the first multiple ISBT champion this season, while Albert handed Berny Stöckl his second consecutive runner-up finish, 251-228, to secure his first ISBT title at the age of 74.

Beate Albert, Hermann Wimmer win Italian Senior Open

2016ISBT04HermannWimmerBeateAlbert_small.jpgGermany's Hermann Wimmer and Beate Albert won the men's and women's titles in the Italian Senior Open, the fourth stop on the 2016 International Seniors Bowling Tour, which was held from June 4-12 at Reno Bowling in Bologna, Italy. All champions this season, men and women, come from either Germany or England. Wimmer, who won the season-opening Arthur's 11th Senior Open, became the first two-time winner this season. For Albert it was her first career ISBT title.

England's Angie Brown, Ron Oldfield sweep titles in 5th Alsace Senior Open

2016ISBT03AngieBrownRonOldfield_small.jpg International Seniors Bowling Tour all-time titles leaders Angie Brown and Ron Oldfield of England swept the women's and men's titles in the titles 5th Alsace Senior Open Sunday, May 1, at Cristal Bowling in Wittelsheim, France. It was the 11th victory for Oldfield in the men's division while Brown's win now takes her tally of ISBT wins to 14, double that of any other woman. The third stop on the 2016 ISBT tour drew a field of 116 players from 12 countries, 94 men and 22 women.

Martina Beckel, Steven Jeeves capture titles in 50+ Euro Bowling Open

2016ISBT02MartinaBeckelStevenJeeves_small.jpgGermany's Martina Beckel and Steven Jeeves of England captured the women's and men's title in the 50+ Euro Bowling Open, the second stop on the International Seniors Bowling Tour (ISBT), Sunday, April 3, at Euro Bowling in Deurne, Belgium. In the title match, Jeeves (right) defeated Laurent Quittelier of France, 182-165, while Beckel (left) flew past Maria Grazia Locatelli of Italy, 262-193. It was the seventh ISBT title for Beckel and the first for Jeeves.

Bianca Völkl-Brandt, Hermann Wimmer start 2016 ISBT with victory in Osnabrück

2016ISBT01HermannWimmerBiancaVolklBrandt_small.jpg Bianca Völkl-Brandt and Hermann Wimmer swept the women's and men's title for Germany in Arthur's 11th Senior Open as the International Seniors Bowling Tour kicked off its 2016 season in Osnabrück, Germany. The first stop on the 2016 ISBT tour returned to Vegas Bowling in Osnabrück in Germany for the 11th running of Arthur's Senior Open, organized by proprietor Arthur Dähn. This year, a total of 81 men and 18 women took part, almost the same number as the previous year.
