Thorstensen, Haukås win both titles in Norwegian Singles & Doubles Championships

Norwegian Bowling Federation names team for 2015 Men's European Championships

Both started the championhips with victory in Doubles and went on to win the Singles competition as well. Thorstensen teamed with Lisa I Riise to claim the women's doubles titles while Haukås and team mate Stefan Palmèr captured the men's doubles title.

Bulanova wins four out of possible five gold medals; Parshukov claims the titles in Singles and Team; the leaders in All-Events, who rolled the lone women's and men's 300 game, will represent Russia in 2015 European Championships Cup

The event combined the Russian Individual and Team Championships, which were held separately in previous years. As the repeat winners in All-Events, Bulanova and Parshukov will represent Russia in 2015 European Championships Cup.

Two-handed lefty from Sweden wins all nine matches in match play finals out averaging his nearest competitor by more than 22 pins to win the 60.000 SEK top prize

2015AIKTop3_small.jpg Starting the final match play round in fifth place, Jesper Svensson (center) of Sweden defeated all nine opponents and out averaged his nearest his nearest competitor by more than 22 pins to successfully defend his title in the 35th AIK International Tournament Tuesday at Bowl-O-Rama in Stockholm, Sweden. The two-handed lefty averaged 238.4 for ten games and added 180 bonus pins to cruise to victory and to pocket 60.000 Swedish Kronor (approx. 6,285 Euro).

Maria Bulanova, Alexey Fedin sweep the titles for Nizny Novgorod in Russian Championships

The center hosted the 49th QubicaAMF World Cup in 2013. 41 men and 19 women qualified from 13 regions in Russia for the three-day event.

Bowling Promotion Cup releases Videos of Singles and Mixed Doubles championships matches

2014QAMFBowlingPromotionCupLogo_small.jpgThe fifth edition of the QubicaAMF Bowling Promotion Cup took place from October 5-9 in three cities in Western France featuring six televised finals for delayed airing on Eurosport 2, Angers Tele and TV Rennes 35. 16 players from England, France, Germany, Monaco, Netherlands and Russia were invited by organizer Bruno Bidone of Bowling Promotion to compete in Men's Singles, Team, Doubles and Masters as well as a Women's Team Challenge and a Baker Mixed Doubles.

Rudshagen was the second Norwegian national team member after Tore Torgersen, winner of the Norwegian Open, who won an international title on Sunday, Oct. 12.

Jolanda Visser, Eric Kok are the Dutch representatives at 50th QubicaAMF World Cup

The 50th edition of the World Cup will be contested November 1-9, 2014, at Sky Bowling Center in Wroclaw, Poland. It will be Visser's first World Cup appearance, while Kok will participate for the 7th time in his career. The long-time national team member and former Dutch national coach participated in every decade since the 1970's.

Sarit Mizrachi, Oron Cohen win 25th Israeli Bowling World Cup Qualifier

The 2014 BWC will be held November 1-9 at Sky Bowling Center in Wroclaw, Poland. It will be the third World Cup for Mizrachi after 2000 and 2010 and the first for Cohen.

Veijanen beat out Björn Einar Rudshagen of Norway for the top spot by 11 pins, 505-494. The 12th edition of the Czech Open drew 222 players from 20 countries, 182 men and 40 women, and offered total prize fund of 13.140 Euro.

Duo will represent Kazakhstan in the 50th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Poland

Grishinenko, 37, dominated the women's field from the beginning and finished distant 489 pins ahead of her nearest competitor to win the women's title. 16-year-old Orlov averaged over 213 for 19 games to win his first career national title. The duo will represent Kazakhstan in the 2014 Bowling World Cup.

In the handicap tournament, which featured a special position point system format, Greulich was one point behind fellow countryman Frank Börner (r.) heading into the last game. The lefty fired a 258 game to beat out Börner (233) for the top spot by eight points, 119 to 111.

Lior Koren, Sara Aviram/Harlap win individual titles at 2014 Israel National Championships

In the men's championship round over three games total pins, Koren spared a 10-pin in the last frame to beat out Asaf Morad and Or Aviram for the top spot, 574-570-549. On the women's side, Aviram/Harlap defeated Shir Azulay and defending champion Sarit Mizrachi, 590-573-527.

It was the second national title after 2011 for Maaswinkel and the first for Van der Vliet. Total 79 participants, 61 men and 18 women, participated in the highest division. They bowled eight games of qualification with the Top 20 men and the top 10 women advancing to the final rounds.

Champions crowned in four divisions at 2014 Koge Youth Masters

Danes Mathias Ankerdal (l.), Rikke Johansen (r.), Christopher Bengt and Gaetan Mouvereux of France won the titles in the 2014 Koge Youth Masters, which concluded Sunday at Koge Bowling Center in Koge near Copenhagen, Denmark. 130 players from eight countries participated in the event. Players competed for prize money and the last ranking points of the 2013-14 Youth Euro Trophy (YET) before the season-ending YET Masters Finals.

Bowlers of the Israel Bowling Federation pair with Special Olympics athletes in unique Doubles league

2014ISRUnifiedLeagueSigning1_small.jpg The Israel Bowling Federation has announced that it has signed a new partnership agreement with Special Olympics Israel in November 2013. This partnership will open greater opportunities for the athletes with intellectual disabilities in the sport of the Tenpin Bowling (L-R Daniel Benaim, S.O. Israel; Arie Fisher, IBF President). After a few months of preparation, a unique project got underway last on Friday, February 21, at bowling center Petach-Tikva with the first Unified Bowling League.
