In the men's title match, Al-Suwaidi defeated local favorite Khaled Al-Dubyyan, Kuwait, 233-213, to earn the USD20,000 top prize. KN edged Milki Ng, Hong Kong, 168-157, to claim the women's title worth USD10,000.

Hussain Al-Suwaidi, UAE and Vanessa Fung, Hong Kong, emerged as the men's and women's ABF Tour Ranking winners. The top 16 men and top 16 women in the tour rankings qualified for the Tournament of Champions to be held in January 2011.

Jason Belmonte shoots big games to win ABF Tour Indonesia leg

Vanessa Fung captures women's title and overtakes lead in Tour Ranking

2010ABFT07VanessaFungJasonBelmonte_small.jpgVanessa Fung from Hong Kong, China, and PBA champion Jason Belmonte, Australia, captured the women's and men's title in the 7th and penultimate leg of the 2010 Asian Bowling Federation Tour at Jaya Ancol Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Fung topped the former Asian and ABF Tour ranking champion, Kim Eun Jung, Korea, 184-178 to win her third career ABF Tour title. In an exciting men's finale, the two-hander from Down Under doubled in the 10th frame to beat local favorite Oscar, Indonesia, by seven pins, 244-237.

The men's division was dominated by Hong Kong bowlers, who made it an all-Hong Kong semifinal. Chow (right) cruised to the title with a 239-217 victory over Eric Tseng. On the women's side, 17-year old Patricia Hui flew past ABF Tour champion Vanessa Fung, Hong Kong, 248-177, to warp up the title.

Wins his last two matches by 99 and 104 pins

In the title match the UAE international flew past Yousif Falah (r.), Bahrain, 279-175, to claim his fourth career title on the Tour. In the semifinal, Al-Hassan topped Ryan Lalisang, Indonesia, by 99 pins, 267-168, while Falah defeated his compatriot Fawaz Abdulla, Bahrain, 229-211.

Mansour Al-Awami posts big scores on his way to the title in ABF Tour Egypt leg

In the championship match, Al-Awami defeated Jassem Darwish (r.), Kuwait, 237-200, to wrap up the title. The Egypt leg was the fourth event of the 2010 ABF Tour. It marked the first time that the ABF Tour visited Egypt. The fifth stop will be held May 9 in Bahrain.

Thai bowler sweep the titles in Asian Bowling Federation Tour Thailand leg

Apiwich a newcomer on the Thai national team defeated Hussain Al-Suwaidi, UAE, 225-215, to claim the men's title. The women's title match was an all Thai affair in which Angkana secured the title with a 199-188 victory against Korngunya Aree.

Wu Siu Hong ends six-year ABF Tour title drought with victory in Saudi Arabia

Denies Hussain Al-Suwaidi's bid for back-to-back titles

2010ABFT02WuSiuHongHussainAlSuwaidi_small.jpgWu Siu Hong (l.), Hong Kong, put an end to a six-year title drought on the Asian Bowling Federation Tour when he defeated the winner of the 2010 season-opening leg in Kuwait, Hussain Al-Suwaidi (r.), UAE, to win the Saudi Arabia leg Friday at Universal Bowling Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the title match, Siu Hong flew past Al-Suwaidi, 255-186, to finally get the monkey off of his back. Siu Hong's last victory on the ABF Tour came in the 2004 ABF Tour Tournament of Champions.

Al-Suwaidi defends his title in Asian Bowling Federation Tour Kuwait leg

The top 16 Asians of the 7th Kuwait International Open advanced to the opening event of the 2010 ABF Tour. The second stop of the 2010 Asian Bowling Federation Tour will be held in Saudi Arabia on April 9.
