Mak defeats Hardy Rachmadian in roll-off to win his second consecutive ABF Tour title; Han prevails in all-Korean women's final over Lee Na Young

2016ABFT04MichaelMakHanKyeoRae_small.jpg Michael Mak of Hong Kong (l.) continued hot hand and captured his third title in 10 days and the second consecutive on the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour defeating Hardy Rachmadian, Indonesia, in roll-off on home turf Monday at South China Athletic Association Bowling Center in Hong Kong, China. In an all-Korean women's final, Han Kyeo Rae (r.) topped Lee Na Young, 241-211, to seal the victory. Both champions received US$1,000 apiece while the runner-ups got US$500.

2016 Asian Bowling Federation Tour Schedule & Champions

ABFTourLogo_small.jpg The 2016 Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour consists of six legs in East Asia featuring the top 16 Asian men and the top 16 Asian women of the foregoing international open tournaments, and four ranking tournaments in the Middle East in which the top 16 men in the finals standings receive ranking points. Alisports, the official partner of the ABF Tour provides US$4,000 for each of the six legs. The top 16 men and women at the end of the 2016 season will qualify for the Tournament of Champions in 2017.

Michael Mak, Hsu Chun-Yi conquer ABF Tour Chinese Taipei leg

2016ABFT03MichaelMakHsuChunYi_small.jpg Fresh off his victory in the 16th Chinese Taipei International Open Michael Mak of Hong Kong defeated Hsu Chin-Tsai of Chinese Taipei, 267-222, to win his second title within two days in the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour's Chinese Taipei leg Sunday at Southern Bowling Center in Kaohsiung City. In an all-Taiwanese women's final, debutant Hsu Chun-Yi topped Tsai Hsin-Yi, 244-199, to become the first Taiwanese woman to win an ABF Tour title on Chinese Taipei soil.

Daisuke Yoshida, Lee Young Seung win first ABF Tour title in Macau

2016ABFT02DaisukeYoshidaLeeYoungSeung_small.jpgDaisuke Yoshida of Japan and Korea's Lee Young Seung took full advantage of the World Bowling scoring system which debuted on the Asian Bowling Federation Tour when they captured their first ABFT title in Macau, China. Yoshida (l.) defeated Cheng Hsing Chao of Chinese Taipei, 245-218, to cruise to the men's title. 2015 Macau Open champion Lee claimed the women's title in her first ABF Tour event, when she topped Cheng's fellow countrywoman Wang Ya Ting, 223-190.

World Bowling's scoring system to debut at ABF Tour Macao

2016ABFTLogo_small.jpgAthletes and bowling fans in Asia will witness the debut of World Bowling's new scoring system at the 2016 Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour Macao leg on June 27, 2016 in Macao, China, which will be broadcast live in Malaysia and in China. The new scoring system was proposed by an all-star panel of international bowling experts, including World Bowling leaders, athletes, coaches, news media and commercial bowling industry experts.

Sam Cooley, Sharon Koh conquer ABF Tour Thailand leg

2016ABFT01SamCooleySharonKoh_small.jpg Aussie Sam Cooley and Sharon Koh of Malaysia remained undefeated to win the men's and women's titles in the 2016 Asian Bowling Federation Tour Thailand leg Monday at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl Ratchayothinon in Bangkok. Cooley (l.) averaged 265.25 over four games and cruised to his third career ABFT title with a near-perfect 295-216 win against local favorite Yannaphon Larpapharat. Koh (r.) captured her her first ABFT title with a 227-213 victory over team mate Hee Kar Yen.

Alisports to be the Official Partner for the 2016 ABF Tour

2016ABFTLogo_small.jpgFor the first time since 2004, when the ABF Tour became the official Tour of Asian Bowling Federation, an official partner, Alisports, will be involved with the 2016 Tour commencing April when the ABF Tour -Thailand will be held on April 18 at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl Ratchayothin in Bangkok, Thailand. Established September 9th, 2015, Alisports will take care of the TV production and media exposure through their media platform for six of the legs of the 2016 ABF Tour.
