Riley, 30, won his first title of the season and his second major since his maiden Australian Open win in 2000, by defeating Queenslander and defending champion George Frilingos, 406-375. Riley in his second year of married life said "I would like to dedicate this win to my Dad, who passed away some 12 months ago only two days after my wedding. It's always a good feeling to beat one of the best players in the country", he added. The No. 2 seed Riley advanced to the title match with a 460-382 commanding victory over No. 3 seed Brenton Davy of South Australia.

The first two rounds of the AMF Australian Masters finals got underway on Friday afternoon at AMF Bowling Rooty Hill RSL in Sydney, Australia. Four stars of the PWBA Tour set the tone on Wednesday in the AMF Australian Masters currently underway at AMF Bowling Rooty Hill RSL in Sydney, Australia. 20-time PWBA champion Wendy Macpherson, 2-time PWBA champion and Team USA standout Lynda Barnes, both United States, and 16-time PWBA champions Carol Gianotti and Dana Miller-Mackie completed two three-game series to position themselves on the leaderboard of the $110,000 AUD tournament.
Michael Little, NSW, moved into fourth place in the men's qualifying of the AMF Australian Masters 2010 Tuesday at AMF Bowling Rooty Hill RSL in Sydney, Australia. The 2003 World Championships gold medalist in Masters had three game-series of 781 and 662 for 1449 six-game total and an average of 241.5. Chris Kirwin and Rebecca Voukolos (pictured left), both NT, held on to the lead in the men's and women's division with 1492 and 1467.

George Frilingos won the 2007 Australian Open, held at AMF Sunshine in Sunshine, Vic, Australia, on the Easter weekend, in style. The 33 year-old Queensland bowler led the field of 76 players - 75 men and 1 woman - from around Australia from the qualifying and finished with an impressive 247.90 for his 31 games in the tournament. The 1661 for his first six games is the second-highest six-game series that we have ever heard of. 
Queensland's George Frilingos won his first major title since the 2006 Arafura Classic Singles back in mid May, taking out the 2007 South Australia Cup at AMF Cross Road in Adelaide, SA. For the first time in history an Australian Super 6 Series event ended in tie after qualifying and match play and the tournament went into a one-game roll-off. Frilingos flew past Jason Belmonte, 279-202, to take the title. 
AMF Moorabbin in Melbourne played host to the prestigious 2006 South Pacific Classic where 22 women and 70 men battled it out to represent Australia at the 2006 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Caracas, Venezuela. The men's final was a strike fest in which Jason Walsh edged out Carl Bottomley, 3-0. In the women's final, Rebecca Simpson came back from being down 1-0 to beat Cassie Staudinger, 3-1. 
In an all lefty final, Andrew McArthur topped 2005 Australian ranking leader George Frilingos 3-0 to to win the men's New South Wales Open. In the women's final Jayde Flanagan defeated Rebecca Simpson in the final game, 178-156, to secure her first major title. 
Jason Walsh and Sue Cassell have both won the first Nationally Double ranked major title, in taking out the 2006 K&K Classic Cup at AMF Kedron in Brisbane on Sunday, May 21st. The event was the Sunshine State's only Australian Super 6 event 
Ninety of Australia's elite bowlers convereged on AMF Sunshine Bowl on Easter Friday to compete in the 2006 Australian Open. 20-year-old David Porto claimed the biggest victory in his career when he defeated another youngster, 20-year-old Andrew Tonkin, two-games-to-none in the championship match. 
Queensland's Brian Pilkington won his first major title in taking out the 2006 South Australia Cup at AMF Cross Road in Adelaide, SA, Australia. Pilkington dominated the season opener of the Australian Super 6 series in qualifying and carried this through into the final day to secure a win under duress.
George Frilingos and Clair Johnston won the final event of the 2005 Australian Super Six series, the South Pacific Classic, en route to qualify for the 2005 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Slovenia. Frilingos defeated Jason Walsh in the decisive match, 268-208, while Johnston made quick work of Cassie Staudinger, 2-0. 
George Frilingos from Queensland flew past Doug Bear, 537-327, in the championship match over two games total pinfall en route to win back-to-back titles in the AMF Queensland Cup at AMF Greenslopes in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. The tournament was the fourth stop of the 2005 Australian Super 6 Series. Frilingos, the 2004 point ranking leader, won his first title this season, worth AUS$2,500 (approx. US$1,890).
World Masters Champion Michael Little, New South Wales, picked up his first Australian Super Six title since the circuit started in 2001. Little averaged 214,44 and compiled a field-best 7-2-1 won-lost-tie match play record en route to win the 2005 Australian Open AMF Sunshine in Melbourne. Jason Belmonte overtook first round leader Jason Walsh in the position round to finish in second place. Walsh ended up in third place. 
Andrew McArthur waited until the last game to celebrate his victory over local bowler Luke Dick in the AMF Cannington Classic in Perth, WA, Australia. Dick led the match play field of 16 after the tournament's sole 300-game in round #11, but McArthur regained the lead with 279 and 278. After Dick posted a 290 in the penultimate game, McArthur used a 233-score (Dick 223) in the last game and a 20-pin bonus advantage to win the title by 17 pins. Paul Trotter finished third.
