Mudo & Granados (VEN), Mosquera (COL) and Stanley (CRC) win Masters gold

2013 PABCON Youth Championships concludes Friday at Bowling Center Caribe in Ponce, Puerto Rico

2013PYCLogo_small.jpg Venezuela's Gabriela Mudo and Carlos Granados, Colombia's Alexandra Mosquera and Costa Rica's James Stanley emerged as Masters champions in the girls and boys Under 16 and Under 20 divisions at the 2013 PABCON Youth Championships, which concluded Friday at Bowling Center Caribe in Ponce, Puerto Rico. All four championship matches in best-of-three games bracket format went the distance.

The Puerto Rican U16 mixed team and the U20 girls as well as the Junior Team USA's U20 boys lead the four-player team events after three of six games in the PABCON Youth Championships in Ponce, Puerto Rico. With three more games to go on Thursday, Estefania Cobo, Puerto Rico; Carlos Granados, Venezuela (U16); Kristie Lopez, Puerto Rico; and Kamron Doyle, United States (U20), hold the top spot in All Events.

Five gold medals were given in the Doubles event at the 2013 PABCON Youth Championships as teams from Puerto Rico and Venezuela tied for the gold medal in the Under 16 boys division Monday at Bowling Center Caribe in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Colombia captured its first gold medal of the championships in the girls U16 division while Junior Team USA (pictured left) swept both titles in the girls and boys U20 divisions.

Estefania Cobo and Kristie Lopez (l.) from the host country Puerto Rico started the championships for youth bowlers under the age of 16 and under the age of 20 with victory in the girls divisions. Junior Team USA roster for PABCON Youth Championships announced

Eight of the top youth bowlers in the United States will travel to Puerto Rico in July to represent Junior Team USA at the 2013 PABCON Youth Championships. The event will be held in Ponce, Puerto Rico, from July 7-12 and features countries in the American Zone competing in Singles, Doubles, Trios, Team, All-Events and Masters. Junior Team USA also will compete in the Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas in Sunrise, Fla., from July 28-Aug. 3.

Puerto Rico Bowling Federation releases Bulletin No.1 for 2013 PABCON Youth Championships

Under-16 and Under-20 to held at 24-lane Bowling Center Caribe in Ponce, Puerto Rico from July 6-13, 2013

PABCONLogo.jpgThe Pan American Bowling Confederation (PABCON) and the Puerto Rico Bowling Federation (FEBOPUR) have released Bulletin No. 1 for the 2013 PABCON Youth Championships. The championships will be held at 24-lane Bowling Center Caribe in Ponce, Puerto Rico from July 6-13, 2013. Each PABCON member federation is allowed to send up to four boys and four girls in the Under-20 division and up to two boys and two girls in the Under-16 division.
