Alfonso Rodríguez of Mexico (men's senior), Aumi Guerra, Dominican Republic (women) and USA's Lucy Sandelin (women's senior) won the All Events titles in the three other divisions.

2012LaRazaLogo_small.jpg Santiago Mejía of Colombia and Costa Rica's national team member Rodolfo Madriz combined for 1963 pinfall total to win the men's Doubles event of the 34th La Raza Bowling Tournament Thursday at Bowling Dent in San José, Costa Rica. The Americans swept the medals in the Senior Men's division with George Gomez and Bob Nieves leading the field with 1844. Melissa Quiñones, USA, (922) and USBC Hall of Famer Lucy Sandelin (877) overtook the lead in women's and senior women's Singles after 4 of 8 games.

International Senior Open releases Bulletin No. 3 for the Dec. 2-8 Las Vegas event

Inaugural event at five-star Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa features two different age divisions for both men and women - Men 50-60, Men 61 and older, Women 45-55 and Women 56 and older; over $12,000 in prizes will be awarded along with event medals

2012ISOLogo_small.jpg The organizers of the 2012 International Senior Open have released Bulletin No. 3, which contains new information on the tournament schedule, the lane conditioning pattern, shuttle schedule as well as new forms. The inaugural ISO will be held at the famous Red Rock Lanes, a 60-laner within Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, Nev. United States, from Dec. 2-8, 2012 and offers over $12,000 in prizes along with event medals. The ISO faetures two different age divisions for both men and women.

The inaugural ISO will be held at the famous Red Rock Lanes, a 60-laner within Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada from Dec. 2-8, 2012. The tournament is dedicated to senior bowlers from WTBA member federations and features Singles, Doubles, Team and Masters competition.

Entries are now being accepted online until Oct. 15. The field is limited on a first-come basis to the first 120 players who enter.

Lonnie Waliczek wins New Mexico Open from top seed

2012NMOLonnieWaliczek_small.jpg Veteran pro bowler, Lonnie Waliczek of Wichita, Kansas, defeated former Wichita State collegian, Kristopher Prather, 206-193, to win the 9th New Mexico Open and the $8,530 top prize at Tenpins & More in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Finishing the title match first, Waliczek threw a great shot in the tenth but then left a 2-pin for 206, giving Prather a chance to win. He threw it as good as anyone possibly could, needing a double, 4-count to win, and rode the shot only to see a 7-pin stay upright.

Matt McNiel wins 11thFrame.com Open

McNiel, who won three Eagles over a three-year span, defeated Shannon Buchan, 447-403, in the final two-game championship match. In the semifinal match, Buchan defeated John Brockland, of St. Charles, Missouri, 427-327. McNiel received the $4,000 top prize. Buchan earned $2,000 for second place and Brockland pocketed $1,500 for third place.

United States bags another 14 gold medals on final day of Tournament of the Americas

Image The U.S. team doubled its gold medals on the final day at the 50th Lee Evans Tournament of The Americas Saturday at Sawgrass Lanes in Tamarac, Fla., as the twenty players, two male and two female bowlers in each of the five age divisions, bagged 14 gold medals in Team, Individual All Events and National All Events to lead the medal tally with 28 gold medals. USA's Lucy Sandelin, Tyler Cruz and Kamron Doyle as well as Colombia's Manuel Otalora swept all six gold medals in their respective division.

February and July High Roller 2013 cancelled

2012HighRollerLogo_small.jpg Brad Edelman, President of High Roller, Inc., has announced that for the first time in 32 years of High Roller tournaments there will not be a February or July High Roller in 2013. "It’s really very simple, it's like High Roller operates eight stores but we are closing two of them for renovations," Edelman wrote in his announcement. Edelman will continue to run the six other events: two True Amateur Tournaments (TAT), two Senior Classics, the August Military Team Tournament and the Military Bowling Championships.

Otalora, Sandelin, Cruz, Doyle earn their third gold medal at Tournament of the Americas

Image Manuel Otalora of Colombia, and the United States' Lucy Sandelin, Tyler Cruz and Kamron Doyle picked up their third gold medal in as many events Thursday at the 50th Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas in Tamarac, Fla. Otalora teamed with Rocio Restrepo to win the Adult division mixed doubles gold medal with a six-game total of 2,623. With three events completed, the U.S. team has won 14 gold medals, Colombia six, Mexico three and the Dominican Republic and Guatemala one each.

Image 155 players from 16 countries participate in the 50th annual Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas, which got underway Monday and Tuesday with the Singles competition at Sawgrass Lanes Tamarac, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Team USA won five out of ten gold medals in the first event. Colombia (2), Mexico, Dominican Republic and Guatemala share the other gold medals. The Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas is the oldest annual international tournament in the American Zone.

20 bowlers to represent United States at Tournament of the Americas

Scott Pohl wins his first title and twenty grand in 2012 July High Roller

Competing in his 41st High Roller tournament and representing the Age 40-54 division, Pohl rolled a 226 game in the championship match against Michael D. Moore of Orlando, Fla. (211) and Isaac Amkie of Col. Polancio, Mexico (182) to capture his first career High Roller title.
