The men's team of the host country claimed the country all events title, while Granda and her team mates were unchallenged in the women's division.

Guatemala sweeps Trios titles at Cambowl Mayor 2006

Silver medals for Costa Rica, bronze medals for El Salvador

Sofia Granda teamed with Melannie Maul and Liz De Castillo to win her third gold medal with 3254 six-game total and an average of 180,78. On the men's side, Andr√©s Herrera, Miguel M√©ndez and Mauricio Pi√Īol (pictured) topped Costa Rica by five pins to win the gold medal with 3509 and an average of 194,94.

Two-time women's champion Sofia Granda of Guatemala and Mauricio Pi√Īol earned ssilver, while El Salvador's Julio Acosta Espinoza and Elizabeth Acosta took bronze.

Jose Guandique.jpg The Campeonato de Centroamérica y México Mayor de Bowling (Cambowl Mayor 2006) was officially declared open on Monday afternoon by Jose Guandique (pictured), President of the American Zone and of the National Bowling Federation of El Salvador. Sofia Granda of Guatemala and Angel Moreno, Costa Rica, started the American Zone ranking event for the Central Region with victory in the women's and men's singles.
