Kulick, a two-time Queens champion, had a five-game total of 1,258 (251.6 average) to top the 2005-player field at The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, Wis. Qualifying continues Friday with the second round and the event concludes with the live ESPN2 finals Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern.

The PWBA Tour season starts this week with the USBC Queens. It is the first of nine tour events in which bowlers will earn qualifying points toward the PWBA Tour Championship. The PWBA Tour Championships will feature a $60,000 prize fund, with $20,000 going to the event's winner.

The Professional Women's Bowling Association will mark its official return next week when the best women bowlers in the world battle for the 2015 USBC Queens title. The Queens, which will mark the first PWBA event in nearly a dozen years, will take place at The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Nearly 200 bowlers from around the world are expected to compete.

The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA) have formed a new strategic partnership to provide new events, exposure and services for women's bowling. The seven new PWBA regional events, which will will complement the PWBA Tour schedule, are women-only competitions conducted by PBA's respective regional managers and will have a $10,000 prize fund based on a minimum of 40 entries.

The Professional Women's Bowling Association Tour will re-launch in 2015 featuring seven regular-season events, three nationally televised majors and stops from coast to coast. The PWBA Tour schedule will kick off with the United States Bowling Congress Queens from May 13-19 and conclude with the PWBA Tour Championship from Sept. 10-13.
