Persson-Planefors, Palermaa hold comfortable lead heading into the last two tournaments

    2011 European Bowling Tour Rankings

    European Bowling Tour concludes with Satellite event in Rome and Platinum event in Qatar

    Persson-Planefors finished fourth in the women's ranking and 31st overall in the Ebonite Lahti Open to earn 60 ranking points for 661 total points. The reigning Swedish national champion leads her nearest competitor, Lisanne Breeschoten, Netherlands, by 105 points.

    Germany's Nadine Geißler holds the 16th and last place to qualify for the 2012 EBT Masters with 283 pints. Roosa Lundén, Finland, who led the women's ranking in Lahti, is 32 points off the pace for 16th place in 20th place with 251.

    Palermaa, who did not compete in Lahti due to his commitments in the Weber Cup, has totaled 821 points and holds a 75-point lead over Thomas Larsen, Denmark, who finished seventh in Lahti to narrow the gap by 46 points with 746.

    Others cashing ranking points in Lahti were Mik Stampe, Denmark (8th; 445), Dennis Eklund, Sweden (10th; 384), Jesper Agerbo, Denmark (13th; 363) and Perttu Jussila, Finland (15th; 296).

    Adrian Ang, Malaysia, remained the "man on the bubble" in 16th place with 258.

    2010EBTLogo_small.jpg Since the 2011 English Open has lost its EBT ranking status, the 2011 European Bowling Tour features 20 tournaments in 16 countries, two Platinum, six Gold, six Silver and six Satellite tournaments. The total prize fund of the 2011 Tour will exceed 1 million Euro.

    2011 EBT champions, men's and women's ranking winners and schedule

    The top 50 men and the top 50 women in each tournament of the European Bowling Tour cash ranking points no matter from which country or World Tenpin Bowling Association Zone (Europe, Asia, America) he or she comes.

    The winner of a Platinum tournament receives 250 ranking points, the winner of a Gold tournament gets 150, the winner of a Silver tournament such as the Ebonite Lahti Open earns 100, and the winner of a Satellite tournament gets 50 ranking points.

    The top 16 men and the top 16 women in the EBT ranking will qualify for the 2012 EBT Masters to be held in conjunction with the 3rd Dream Bowl Palace Open in Unterföhring near Munich, Germany April 30 and May 1, 2012.

    The Ebonite Lahti Open was the last "Silver" tournament of the 2011 European Bowling Tour season. The tour commences with the last "Satellite" tournament, the 2nd Ebonite Roma International from Nov. 5-13 at Brunswick Bowling in Rome, Italy, and will conclude with the second "Platinum" event, the Qatar Bowling Open Nov. 23-29 at Qatar Bowling Center in Doha, Qatar.
