The bowling center is part of a larger complex within Fitness Academy group and is located in the Sky Tower. It has 24 brand new lanes with the latest scoring equipment from QubicaAMF.

The host will be the Fitness Academy group represented by Marek Maciejewski. "Words cannot express my joy at being chosen to host the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup," Maciejewski said. "Wroclaw is a beautiful city and I can assure all our guests that a warm Slavic welcome awaits you".

"I was immensely impressed with the city of Wroclaw and the Sky Bowling center when I visited recently," Board added. "The organizing committee is already hard at work and I know this is going to be one of our best events ever."

Wroclaw (pronounced Vrots-waf) is a very old city, dating back to the 10th century, with a host of medieval buildings and bridges over the river Oder. It is one of the host cities for the "Euro 2012", the 2012 European Football Championships, and will be European City of Culture in 2016. In 2017 Wroclaw will host the World Games, where bowling will also take its place.
