Martin Larsen was forced into a roll-off against defending champion Mika Koivuniemi, Finland, and sealed the victory, 49-40. Sean Rash, United States, won five of his seven matches to take the bronze medal.

Rebecka Larsen and Clara Juliana Guerrero, Colombia, led the women's field since the preliminaries and battled in out for the title in the final match. When the dust had settled after the strike-fest, the Swede cruised to the biggest title in her career with a 278-277 win over two-time world champion Guerrero.

Patricia Luoto from the host country Germany used the field-best 5-2 won-lost record to win the bronze medal.

2012EBTMastersLogo_small.jpg The 5th EBT Masters is the season-ending event of the 2011 European Bowling Tour. The top 50 men and the top 50 women in each event earn ranking points based on how they finish in the event. Those points will be tabulated throughout the season to determine the top 16 men and top 16 women who qualify for the EBT Masters.

In a change to the first four Masters, the 2012 edition is contested on one lane conditioning pattern only, the 41-feet "Turnpike 2441" from the Kegel Sport Series.

All players bowled three blocks of six-games with the top 8 of each division advancing to the match play finals with the 18-game total from the preliminaries being carried forward. After seven games round robin (20 pins bonus for a win, 10 for a tie) the 25-game total including bonus pins determined the champions.
