The 3rd Pan American Senior Championship and the 1st Pan American Super Senior Championship took place from October 20-26 at Bowling Center Cariari in San Jose, Costa Rica.

83 seniors age 50 and older (44 men, 39 women) and 39 super seniors age 60 and older (23 men, 16 women) from 15 countries - Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela - bowled for medals in Singles, Doubles, Trios (Super Senior: Mixed Doubles), Team (Super Senior: Mixed Team), All-Events and Masters.

Carlos Castro of Mexico and Mariela Alarza of Venezuela (Senior) as well as Ildemaro Ruiz of Venezuela and Lucrecia Lopez Jove of Argentina (Super Senior) concluded the championships with victory in the men's and women's Masters match play competition.
