Another gold medal sweep for Daegu; men and women win Team and All-Events gold

The men's and women's bowlers from Daegu City, who won the Singles and Doubles titles at the 27th Asian Intercity Bowling Championship in Tamuning, Guam earlier this week, also swept the titles in the four-player Team events and in All-Events.
The Daegu men (pictured left, center), Choi Suk Byung, Jo Eun Su, Park Hee Jeong and Kim Young Pyo, averaged 201.17 for six games to win another gold medal for South Korea with 4828 total.
Gregory Borja, Timothy Nauta, Manny Tagle and Brian Manibusan of Dedodo (right) were 122 pins behind to earn the silver medal with 4706. Bronze went to Alin Lee, Kuan Ho Lau, Joshua Chow and Mike Chan of Hong Kong (left), who finished with a 825 game to beat out JD Castro, Jay Leon Guerrero, Duane Camacho and John John Ada (748) of Tamuning for third place, 4591 to 4579.

Apple Posadas, Seok Kim Yap, Lara Posadas and Cecilia Yap of Paranaque (right) were 408 pins behind to finish in second place with 4449 (185.38). The bronze medal went to Hashilah Hashim, Nadirah Farid, Zarina Halim and Farhanah Farid of Shah Alam (left) with 4224.
