The elections took place at Bowl Canada's recent Annual Meeting in Winnipeg, Manitoba (June 4-6), where members were asked to elect six Directors to serve on the Bowl Canada Board of Directors.

Following the election of Directors by the members, the Directors themselves then held their first Board meeting, which included their own elections to determine the association's officers for the coming season.

    • President: Todd Britton, Winnipeg, Manitoba
    • Vice President: Ray Brittain, Nanaimo, British Columbia
    • Director at Large: Trevor Peters, Brandon, Manitoba
    • Director at Large: Lee Hanley, Collingwood, Ontario
    • Treasurer: Rod Hennessey, Kelligrews, Newfoundland
    • Secretary: Colleen Haider, Yorkton, Saskatchewan

Todd, who operates three bowling centers in Winnipeg, including both Fivepin and Tenpin games, said of the elections… "I am honored to have been elected to the Presidency of Bowl Canada, and I've got a great team to work with."

He went on to explain…. "Our Board is comprised of a diverse group, and we are representative of all the interests of the Bowl Canada membership. From large centers to small, from west coast to East, both Fivepin and Tenpin games…. the new Bowl Canada Board is a fair representation of Bowl Canada membership in virtually all aspects."

The Board of 6 begins a new era for Bowl Canada, as it has changed its Board composition to comply with the new Canada Not-For-Profit Act, which no longer allows regional representation on a national Board. As a result, provincial delegates will now serve on advisory committees to the Board, ensuring local opinions and concerns remain heard at the national level.
