Real action will commence on Tuesday morning with the first qualifying block at Sky Bowling Center in Wroclaw, Poland

The 2014 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup was officially declared open during an one-hour Opening Ceremony Monday evening in the atrium of Sky Tower, the highest building in Poland and home of 24-lane Sky bowling center, in Wroclaw, Poland.

The day kicked off with the official practice by the athletes of more than eighty countries (no final number as some teams haven't been arrived yet) on the twenty lanes, which will be used for the six-day competition.

There are 14 countries (pictured above) who have never missed a World Cup in the 50-year-history of the event: Australia, Belgium, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and United States.

This is Bowlingdigital's illustration for new "Bowling Dwarfs". Wrocław's dwarfs are small figurines cast in bronze that first appeared in the streets of Wrocław in 2001. Since then, their numbers have been continually growing, and today they are considered a tourist attraction.

Traditionally, the team of the host country Poland marched in last after which the Polish national anthem was played.
