Ryan Lalisang (pictured left) of Indonesia posted big numbers on his way to the title in the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour Kuwait leg Sunday at Cozmo Bowling Center in Salmiya City, Kuwait.

The Asian Games gold medalist and reigning Asian Championhips Masters champion, was the second-best Asian bowler and ninth overall in the 12th Kuwait International Open, which served as the qualifying event for the ABFT Kuwait leg.

Lalisang ousted Ayad Al-Ameeri of Kuwait in the opening round of the single-elimination finals, 222-172, and went on to defeat Yousef Al-Jaber of Qatar in the quarterfinal, 258-240, and Mohammed Janahi (pictured right) of Bahrain in the semifinal, 220-186.

In the championship match, Lalisang posted his highest game to fly past Aseel Al-Roomi of Kuwait and to wrap up the title, 267-179.

Al-Roomi (pictured left with Shaker Al-Hassan, right) started his route to the title match with a 194-167 victory against Mansour Al-Hajri of Qatar, before he survived a low-scoring quarterfinal encounter against Hussain Al-Suwaidi, United Arab Emirates, 167-164.

Al-Roomi lone game over 200 came in the semifinal, where he defeated Shaker Al-Hassan, United Arab Emirates, 225-212.

Over the next two days, Cozmo Bowling Center will host the 2014 Asian Bowling Federation Tour Tournament of Champions featuring the top 16 men and the top 16 women of the 2014 point rankings.

The 2015 ABF Tour consists of 10 legs, six in the Near East (Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, UAE and Saudi Arabia) with a men's division only and four in East and South East Asia (Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau and Indonesia) featuring men and women in separate divisions. Asian bowlers only are eligible to participate.

Players earn ranking points based on how they finish in each event. The top 16 men and the top 16 women at the end of the 2015 season qualify for the ABF Tour Tournament of Champions scheduled for March 2016 (tbc) in Kuwait.

The fourth leg of the 2015 Tour will be held on April 17 at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl Ratchayothinon in Bangkok, Thailand, in conjunction with the 41st MWA Singha Thailand International Open (April 4-16, 2015).
