Yousif Falah, Chan Shuk Han emerge as 2014 ABF Tour Tournament of Champions

    2014ABFTTOCYousifFalah.jpg2014ABFTTOCChanShukHan.jpgYousif Falah (pictured left) of Bahrain and Hong Kong's Chan Shuk Han (right) won three matches in the single-elimination finals of the 2014 Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour Tournament of Champions to win the men's and women's titles Tuesday afternoon at Cozmo Bowling Center in Salmiya City, Kuwait.

    In the men's title match, Falah denied Yannaphon Larp-apharat of Thailand his second TOC title in three years when he defeated Yannaphon, 187-155, to claim the title and the $20,000 top prize.

    On the women's side, topped Wendy Chai (pictured right with Chan) of Malaysia, 221-183, to earn her second title and the $10,000 first place check. Chai, who was looking for her fourth TOC title, had to settle for second place worth $5,000.

    The TOC was the season-ending event of the 2014 Asian Bowling Federation Tour.

    ABFTourLogo_small.jpg The 2014 ABF Tour consisted of nine legs, five in the Middle East (Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, UAE and Saudi Arabia) with a men's division only and four in East and South East Asia (Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau and Indonesia) featuring men and women in separate divisions.

    Players earned ranking points based on how they finished in each event. The top 16 men and the top 16 women in the point ranking qualified for the ABF Tour Tournament of Champions scheduled for March 16-17, 2015 at Cozmo Bowling Center, a 16-laner in Salmiya City, Kuwait.
