The 35-year-old will represent Brazil in 51st QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup to be held Nov. 13-20, 2015 at Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

It marks the first time that Igor Pizzoli has qualified for the World Cup. However, his brother and coach, Caio Pizzoli, has participated twice in the prestigious tournament, in 2006 in Caracas, Venezuela, and in 2011 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Pizzoli posted games of 217 and 239 to fly past Silva, 456-263, to earn his ticket to Las Vegas.

L-R Squad B semifinalists Carlos Thur, Rafael Silva and Squad A semifinalists Igor Pizzoli, Sung Kae.

The Women's BWC qualifying has been postponed to August as many of the Brazilian national team members were busy competing in the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, and the Tournament of The Americas in Florida, United States.

The 24th QubicaAMF Brazil Cup, which was organized by Pin1 Bowling Supply, introduced regional qualifying for the first time in its history because of the enormous size of the country. One regional was held in Brazil's capital city of Brasilia, far more than 1,000 km from Sao Paulo, and the other took place in Santa Catarina, in the city of Biguacu, distant 680 km from SĂŁo Paulo.

Plans for 2016 show regional qualifiers in Belem - Para (2900 km), Salvador - Bahia (2,000 km), Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais (600) and Rio de Janeiro (450 km).
