Stuart Williams shoots fourth perfect game at 13th Columbia 300 Vienna Open

Stuart Williams (pictured above with Dom Barrett, left) became the fourth player in the 13th Columbia 300 Vienna Open who achieved perfection when the Englishmen reeled off twelve strikes in the second game of Squad 11 Friday evening at Plus Bowling in Vienna, Austria.
Like tournament leader Joonas Jähi of Finland (1473) and third-place Thomas Larsen (right) of Denmark, Williams' perfecto game in the second game.
The six-time European Bowling Tour champion who also owns one PBA title started with 216 and followed the 300 game with 268, 213, 228 and 197 to improve on his 1419 from Squad 8 by three pins with 1422 and an average of 237.00.
Williams, who remained in fifth place in the overall qualifying standings, joined forces with his compatriot Dom Barrett in the Doubles competition, which traditionally serves as qualifying event in Vienna.
Barrett, who owns 11 EBT and four PBA titles, rolled games of 242, 199, 225, 279, 244 and 198 for 1387 (234.08) which propelled the English duo to the top of the Doubles leaderboard with 2809 total and an average of 234.08.
Fellow PBA and Weber Cup bowlers, Martin Larsen of Sweden and Finnish two-handed player, Osku Palermaa (pictured left, r-l), were just 20 pins behind to jump into second place with 2789 (232.42). Larsen had 1396, the second-highest series in Squad 11, and Palermaa was just three pins behind with 1393.
Larsen moved into 11th place, while Palermaa and Barrett leaped into 13 and 14th place, respectively. 2012 EBT women's point ranking leader, Birgit Pöppler of Germany, was sandwiched between Larsen and Palermaa in 12th place with 1394, including handicap, an average of 224.33 scratch.
Matthias Olsson (right) of Sweden was next with 1386, including a high game of 278, to sit in 16th place.
Tim Friedrichs of Germany currently holds the 52nd and last spot to advance to Sunday's finals with 1264 or an average of 210.67. No. 8 score to beat to earn one bye remained 1401, set by Jenny Wegner of Sweden, who had the lone 300 game by a woman in game five in Squad 7.

All qualifying squads on Oct. 2 & 3 and Sunday's finals are being broadcast live on Bowlingdigital's YouTube channel.
The singles champion will take home the 7.000 € top prize, the first runner-up earns 5.000 € and the third and fourth-place finishers get 3.500 € and 2.500 €, respectively. 64 players will cash in Singles, which has a last-to-cash payout of €. The Doubles tournament will pay a 1.600 € first prize and a 20-place prize list (300 € last-to-cash).

The 2015 European Bowling Tour currently consists of 16 tournaments in 12 countries featuring three "Platinum" events, three "Gold", three "Silver" and seven "Satellite" events. All 16 tournaments together offer total prize fund of 850.000 Euro.
The top 50 men and the top 50 women in each event receive ranking points. Those points will be tabulated throughout the season to determine the top 12 men and top 12 women, who will compete in the 9th EBT Masters July 25, 2016 at Rose'n Bowl in Serravalle, San Marino following the 12th San Marino Open.
