Kuwait and Korea capture the gold medals in the Four-Player Team event at the 14th Asian Youth Championships

    The boys team from Kuwait and the Korean Girls captured the title in the Four-Player Team event at 14th Asian Youth Tenpin Bowling Championships at the Holiday Inn Lido Beijing bowling center in Beijing, China.

     Khaled Al Dubyyan, Ali Khalid, Jassem Darwish and Mohammad Al Zaidam started the competition with a 936-game and never looked back. The four Kuwaitis rolled 3-game series of 2576 and 2370 to win the gold medal in the Boys Team event with 4946 and an average of 206.08. Click on the image to enlarge it.

    Faisal Al Juraifani, Asian Games Doubles champions Hassan and Bader Al Shaikh and Yousef Akbar of Saudi Arabia were 33 pins behind their Arabic rivals to secure the silver medal with 4913 (204.71).

    Malaysians Adrian Ang, Mohd Noer, Syafiq Ridhwan and Aaron Kong were another 16 pins behind to take the bronze medal with 4897 (204.04).

    2007AsYCGirlsTeamKOR.jpg On the girls side, Yun Hee Yeo, Kim Yang Hee, Hwang Sun Ok and Yoo Sung Hee of Korea (pictured left), started with four consecutive 800-plus games to cruise to victory in the Girls Team event with 4840 and an average of 201.67.

    2007AsYCGirlsTeamCHN.jpg Daphne Tan, Sabrina Lim, Amanda Ng and Cherie Tan earned the silver medal with 4787 (199.46).

    The bronze medal went to Chen Dongdong, Wu Suqin, Zhang Qian and Yan Yinyin (pictured right) from the host country of China with 4646 (193.58).
