Paul Moor wins second EBT title this season in Golden Bowl Turin

    Reigning European Ranking champion Paul Moor from England defeated tournament leader Osku Palermaa from Finland in the title match, 210-205 and 227-215, to win the Championship Golden Bowl in Turin an 10.000 Euro. This was Moor's second victory of this year's European Bowling Tour after winning the second stop in Ireland three months ago. Moor, the No. 2 seed, ousted Kai Guenther, Germany in the semi-final, 211-183. Guenther had eliminated Anna Mattsson-Baard, Sweden, who won the opening match against Kamilla Kjeldsen, Denmark.

    Finn Osku Palermaa and reigning European Ranking champion Paul Moor from England finished atop the leaderboard in the Round of 24 to qualify 1-2 for the stepladder finals in the Championship Golden Bowl in Turin, Italy. Palermaa (pictured), who won the 2005 Catalonia Open, and Moor, the 2005 Irish Open champion are targeting their second EBT title this season. Third place belonged to Germany's Kai Günther. Those three will sit and watch the opening shootout match with Anna Mattsson-Baard, Sweden, and 2-time women's ranking champion Kamilla Kjeldsen, Denmark, facing off.

    Tobias Gäbler wins qualifying in Turin

    German international Tobias Gäbler felled 1430 pins and averaged 238,33 to win the qualifying in the Championship Golden Bowl in Turin, Italy. Italian Gian Paolo Zecchini slipped one sot to second place with 1402. Martina Beckel, Germany, was the top ranked woman in 9th place. Gäbler and the next 11 players were automatically seeded into the finals. Places 13-60 advanced to the semi-finals.
