Chan Shuk Han, Hussain Al-Suwaidi lead Asian Rankings with six events to go

Hong Kong's Chan Shuk Han (left) and Hussain Al-Suwaidi lead the women's and men's Asian Bowling Federation rankings after the conclusion of the Asian Championships in Hong Kong and the Men's World Championships in Bangkok, respectively.
Shuk Han, who started the ranking season with victory in the prestigious ABF Tour Tournament of Champions, leads the ranking field of 167 women with 321 points.
Places 2-4 belong to three members of the highly successful Korean women's team that has won all nine individual gold medals at the 20th Asian Championships in Hong Kong in July. Masters champion Choi Jin-A is second with 260 points, followed by All Events champion Jeon Eun-Hee, 220, and Singles champion Hwang Sun-Ok, 200.

Rounding out the top 8 is Jazreel Tan, Singapore, with 171.
The top eight players at the end of the ranking season will qualify for the 2009 World Ranking Masters in Italy. With six events to go - Guam Open, Indonesia Open ABF Indonesia, Chinese Taipei Open, QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Mexico and the Bahrain Open - Hussain Al-Suwaidi (right), UAE, holds a dominating lead in the 487-player men's field with 493 ranking points.
Trailing Al-Suwaidi by 158 points to sit in second place is Zulmazran Zulkifli (left), Malaysia, with 329. Qatar's Bandar Al-Shafi is third with 319 points. Next are Al-Suwaidi's compatriots Shaker Al-Hassan, 308, and Naif Oqab, 261.
Basil Al-Anzi (right), who won the first medal for the Kuwait Bowling Federation at a Men's World Championships when he captured bronze in Singles, is sixth with 245. Rounding out the top 8 are Andrew Frawley, Australia, 244, and last year's runner-up Ryan Lalisang, Indonesia, 218.
