USBC silver level coach Andrew Frawley (pictured left), Australia, and former Malaysian national team member Tang Joh Six ended the 2008 season of the Asian Bowling Federation Tour with victory in the men's and women's Tournament of Champions Sunday at Jaya Ancol Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In a high-class men's championship match, Frawley topped 2006 World Championships Masters gold medalist Biboy Rivera, Philippines, 249-235, to win the prestigious title and the $20,000 top prize.

Frawley and Rivera, who ousted the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the quarterfinal went on to defeat Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong, and Chester King, Philippines, in the semis. Rivera received $8,000 for second place while King and Siu Hong earned $4,000 apiece for third and fourth place.

In the women's final, Tang Joh Six (pictured left) emerged the winner by five pins over 2008 ABF Tour point ranking leader Vanessa Fung (right), Hong Kong, 207-202, to claim the biggest title of her career and the $10,000 top prize.

The Malaysian upset local favorite Tannya Roumimper, Indonesia, in the semifinal, 179-170, after Roumimper had rolled a 299 in the quarterfinals. Fung eliminated 2005 World Champion (Masters) Yang Suiling, China, 194-188, in the other semifinal match.

Fung pocketed $5,000 for second place while Suiling and Roumimper earned $3,000 apiece for third and fourth place.

The top 16 men and the top 16 women from the 2008 Asian Bowling Federation Tour point rankings qualified for the Tournament of Champions. All players bowled 15 games of match play before the field was cut to the top 8, who advanced to the single-elimination finals in bracket system.

The men's champions will walk away with $20,000 and women's champion gets $10,000,

Women's qualifying leader Tannya Roumimper (left), Indonesia, fired a 299 game in the single-elimination quarterfinals of the ABF Tour Tournament of Champions to fly past Zhang Yu Hong, China, and to advance to semifinal.

Her compatriot, No. 2 seed Sharon Limansantoso, fell to 2008 ABF Tour point ranking leader Vanessa Fung, Hong Kong, 211-201.

In the other matches, former world champion Yang Suiling (right), China, eliminated 2007 Asian ranking leader Kim Eun-Jung, 196-178, while Tang Joh Six, Malaysia, easily defeated Chen Dongdong, China, 205-163.

The men's No. 1 and No. 2 seed, Somjed Kusonpithak and Sithiphol Kunaksorn, both Thailand, crashed out of the tournament in the quarterfinal. Kusonpithak fell to Andrew Frawley (left), Australia, 190-180, and Kunaksorn was sent packing by Biboy Rivera, Philippines, 247-203.

Rivera's fellow countryman Chester King (right) followed him into the semifinal behind a 224-184 victory over local favorite Ryan Lalisang, Indonesia. Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong, upset 2008 ABF Tour point ranking leader Shaker Al-Hassan, 238-210.
