Vanessa Fung (pictured left) of Hong Kong and 2008 men's ranking champion Hussain Al-Suwaidi (right) positioned themselves atop the women's and men's Asian Bowling Federation Rankings after Rankings after five events (ABF Tour Tournament of Champions, H.H. Emir Cup, Malaysian Open, Kuwait Open and ABF Tour Kuwait).

Al-Suwaidi finished third in the Kuwait Open and won the ABF Tour leg to lead the men's rankings with 185 points. 2-time Asian ranking champion Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong, who finished in third place for the last five years, sits in second place with 173 points. Ryan Lalisang, Indonesia, is a distant third with 112 points.

Fung, who finished second in the Women's Division in the Kuwait Open, leads the women's rankings with 129 points. Her compatriot, defending ranking champion Chan Shuk Han is third with 76 points. Sandwiched between the players from Hong Kong is Tang Joh Six, Malaysia, with 80 points.
