QubicaAMF adjusts dates for 2006 Bowling World Cup
04/05/06
QubicaAMF had to adjust the dates for the 2006 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. The 42nd annual edition of the prestigious event needs to finish on Friday 10th November this year, two days earlier as usual.
Anne-Marie Board, QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup Manager, commented: "The South American Odesur Games which are supported by their Olympic Committees start in Buenos Aires during the World Cup. Although the Odesur Games include tenpin bowling, this event will not start until Monday 13th November. So in order to give our South American bowlers a chance to get to Argentina, we have agreed to finish by the 10th."
Bowling competition in Venezuela takes place from November 4-10 in the 40-lane center at Mampote, a short drive outside the main city of Caracas. The bowling center was the venue for the FIQ World Championships in 1983. Arrival day will be third November and departure 11th November.
QubicaAMF Worldwide, the founder, organizer and principal sponsor of the Bowling World Cup, is one of the largest bowling products companies in the world. With worldwide headquarters near Richmond, Virginia and European headquarters in Bologna, Italy, the company manufactures a complete line of high-quality, innovative solutions for new and existing bowling and entertainment centers.
