    2010 European Bowling Tour Rankings

    2011 European Bowling Tour heading into the 12th season on January 1st

    2010EBT15NinaFlack.jpg2010EBT16DominicBarrett.jpgNina Flack (pictured left) of Sweden and England's Dominic Barrett (right) won the 2010 European Bowling Tour women's and men's point rankings and a 2.000 Euro bonus by the European Tenpin Bowling Federation.

    Flack finished the women's ranking in the 18th and last tournament of the 2010 EBT season, the Qatar Bowling Open, in sixth place (32nd in the overall standings) to win the women's ranking for the second time after the 2008 season.

    Flack, a world and European champion, finished the season with 767 ranking points, 150 points ahead of compatriot Joline Persson Planefors, who jumped from eighth to second place with 617 points after receiving 200 points for finishing second in the women's ranking (seventh overall).

Qatar women's ranking winner and tournament runner-up Mai Ginge Jensen (right), Denmark, rocketed from 14th to fifth place with 563 after receiving 250 ranking points.

    Sixth and seventh place belonged to Rebecka Larsen Jr., Sweden and three-time EBT Masters winner Kamilla Kjeldsen, Denmark with 524 and 518 points. The top seven women competed in the Qatar Open.

Places 9-12 went to her compatriots Nicole Sanders (right, 9th, 497), Ghislaine van der Tol (10th, 479), Priscilla Maaswinkel (11th 449) and Lisanne Breeschoten (12th, 399).

    Rikke Holm Rasmussen, Denmark, was 13th with 378 and was followed by Tina Hulsch, Germany, in 14th place with 353 and Nina Manninen, Finland, in 15th place with 347. Hélen Johnsson, Sweden, took the 16th and last place to qualify fort he 2011 EBT Masters with 339 points.

    2010BucharestStuartWilliams.jpg2010EBT16GeryVerbruggen.jpgBarrett had already sealed the victory in the men's ranking before the Qatar Open started as he led his nearest competitor by 251 points, one point more than the eventual winner, Stuart Williams (pictured left), England, received for his victory.

    Barrett earned another 200 ranking points for second place to win the men's ranking with record 1199 points. He became just the fourth player in the 11-year history of the European Bowling Tour who has won Tour's men's point ranking.

Moor was followed by Osku Palermaa (right, with Mika Koivuniemi, left; , 3rd, 813), Finland, who has won the title in the past three years (2007-'09).

    Eight-time PBA champion Mika Koivuniemi, Finland, maintained his second place with 818 points. The "Big Finn" and Barrett were the only players who have won multiple EBT titles this season.

    Peter Ljung (right9, Sweden, remained in eighth place with 421 and was followed by two-time PBA champion Michael Fagan, United States, who was ninth with 400 points. 10th place Tore Torgersen, Norway (386) was followed by three Swedish internationals, Mathias Årup (11th, 338), Dennis Eklund (12th, 322) and Tomas Leandersson (13th 290).

    The 2010 European Bowling Tour has concluded its 11th season featuring 18 tour stops in 16 countries. Since the Ankara Open and the Austria Challenge have been cancelled and the English Open has lost its EBT status, the 2010 EBT consisted of 2 Platinum tournaments (formerly Premier), 6 Gold (formerly Major), 6 Silver (formerly Challenger) and 4 Satellite tournaments (new).

    The winner of a Platinum tournament such as the Qatar Bowling Open receives 250 ranking points, the winner of a Gold tournament gets 150, the winner of a Silver tournament earns 100, and the winner of a Satellite tournament gets 50 ranking points.

    The top 50 men and the top 50 women in each tournament of the European Bowling Tour cash ranking points no matter from which country or World Tenpin Bowling Association Zone (Europe, Asia, America) he or she comes.

    The total prize fund of the 2010 Tour exceeded 1 million Euro. The top 16 men and women in the EBT ranking qualified for the 4th EBT Masters to be held at Gladiator Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from April 11-12, 2011.

    2011EBTLogo_small.jpgThe 2011 European Bowling Tour will start on Jan. 1st at Tali Bowl in Helsinki when the legendary Brunswick Ballmaster Open will get underway.

    The EBT is heading into its 12th season which will feature 22 tournaments in 17 countries - 2 Platinum, 6 Gold, 7 Silver and 7 Satellite tournaments. Two of the 22 tournaments, the Brunswick Ballmaster Open and the Brunswick Euro Challenge will be a part of the new World Bowling Tour organized by the World Tenpin Bowling Association for 2011.
