Jonquay Armon (pictured) of Roselle, Ill. started the day with a 268 game and never looked back in capturing the Columbia 300 Indiana Women's Open at Olympia Lanes in Hammond, Ind. by 106 pins over Caryn Evitts of Waukegan, Ill.

The Columbia 300 Indiana Women's Open was the fifth and last of five U.S. Women's Open qualifying tournaments sponsored by the brands of Ebonite and organized by Lisa Vint, Publisher of the Windy City Bowling News.

Armon averaged 233 for the tournament and had a 3-3 match play record for a 2,897 total including match play bonus pins. She received $750 cash, a custom-made jewelry set from Matt Cole, an EFX performance bracelet and a paid entry into the U.S. Women's Open in June.

Evitts, who also finished second in the Robby's Vernon Hills Women's Open in March, finished with 2,791 pins and earned $650.

A sixth U.S. Women's Open entry was awarded to Jan A. Schmidt of Hales Corners, Wis., for being the highest earnings winner who had not already earned a U.S. Women's Open entry after the five events.

Armon and Schmidt will be joined in Texas by series representatives: Lori Colclasure of Grayslake, Ill., Hammer Illinois Women's Open; Patti Schultz of Braidwood, Ill., Ebonite Joliet Women's Open; Terysa Wojnar of Chicago, Track Wisconsin Women's Open and Joey Biondo of Carpentersville, Ill., Robby's Vernon Hills Women's Open.

The $200.000 Bowling’s U.S. Women’s Open sponsored by the Brands of Ebonite International will be held from June 24-30, 2011 and is open to all female youth and adults.

The tournament will take place during the 2011 International Bowl Expo which will draw more than 8,000 attendees from the bowling industry. Qualifying runs from June 24-29 at AMF Euless Lanes and the finals will be staged June 30 at 7:00pm. at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
