Annop Arromsaranon (r.) of Thailand and Indonesia's Tannya Roumimper (l.) won the men's and women's title in the ABF Tour Hong Kong, the sixth and penultimate event on the 2011 Asian Bowling Federation Tour.

Annop started the single-elimination one-game matches with a low game of 190 then rolled three big scores, all against Hong Kong bowlers, on his way to the title. In the second round, the Thai sidelined Joshua Chow, 234-187, then flew past Tony Tang in the semis, 257-179.

Annop carried the momentum into the title match defeating Hong Kong's No. 1, Wu Siu Hong, 249-213.

The women's title match was an all-Indonesian affair with Roumimper (l.) and compatriot Sharon Limansantoso (r.) squaring off. Roumimper wrapped up the title with a 224-210 win. In the semifinals, the two Indonesians eliminated two Malaysian bowlers. Limansantoso edged Tang Joh Six, 207-204, and Roumimper topped Lai Kin Ngoh, 193-181.

The top 16 Asian men and top 16 Asian women of the 37th Hong Kong International Open qualified for the Hong Kong leg.

With his second-place finish, Wu Siu Hong overtook the lead in the men's ABF Tour ranking after six event. His compatriot Chan Shuk Han leads the women's ranking after three events (no women events contested in the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia legs).

The seventh and last stop of the Tour this season will be held July 26th at Senayang Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. The top 16 men and top 16 women in the 2011 ABF Tour rankings will qualify for the ABF Tour Tournament of Champions (dates and venue tbd).
