Caio Pizzoli wins XX Copa AMF Brazil in Sao Paulo

Earns his second berth into QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup

The 47th edition of the BWC will be held at Northcliff Bowling Center in Johannesburg, South Africa from Nov. 30 through Dec. 7.
In the title match of the five player stepladder final, Pizzoli, the No. 1 seed, eliminated #3 Renan Zoghaib, 220-206, to win his second berth into the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. Zoghaib, who represented Brazil in 44th BWC in Hermosillo, Mexico, was the No. 3 seed in the five-player stepladder final, He defeated No. 5 Mario Farias and No. 4 Flavio Alonso in the opening shoot-out match, 189-183-165.
Zoghaib carried the momentum into the semifinal in which he eliminated No. 2 Franz Monteiro, who represented Brazil in 45th BWC in Melaka, Malaysia, 191-137, to earn the right to bowl top seeded Pizzoli for the title.
With the 200-206 win Pizzoli earned his second berth into the Bowling World Cup after Caracas, Venezuela in 2006. There was no women's division in the Copa AMF Brazil this year.
