The Orleans bowling manager Bob McVey passed away

Bob McVey, bowling manager for the Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, who ran the annual National Golden Ladies Classic at The Orleans, passed away. He was 58.

Char Hammel of Las Vegas, the 2010 Senior Queens champion, who helps Jeanette Robinson, founder of the National Golden Ladies Classic, to promote the event by running the Facebook page, informed:

“With a heavy heart I need to let you all know that our beloved Bob McVey suffered a heart attack last Wednesday evening and passed away at 8:45am on Tuesday morning, July 19, in the ICU.

“As many of us knew first hand he was one of the good guys. His door was always open, his ear willing to listen and do whatever he could to help if you needed him. He will missed by many. Our condolences to his wife Donna, his family and his staff at The Orleans who loved him dearly.”

Services will be held Saturday July 23rd at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas from 4pm to 5pm. Reception is from 5pm to 7pm.
