    The 2006 German National Doubles Championships were held at Bowling Arena in Stuttgart, May 10-14, 2006.

    Multiple German champion Philip Meinke of Berlin teamed with Tanja Chelmowski en route to win the mixed doubles title thanks to an outstanding performance in round robin match play. The duo averaged 219,24 for 19 games to finish well ahead of defending champions Kerstin Sauer/Achim Grabowski. Third place went to Sonja Uhlich/Dirk Dreyer.

    Chelmowski had another spot on the podium in the women's Doubles competition, where she finished third with Kathy Krüger. Local favorites Manuela Krause and Melanie Börner earned the title with a slim 49-pin advantage over Andrea Jonasdofsky and Martina Kolbenschlag.

    Stefan Bock and Christian Döring of Premnitz were the surprising winners of the men's doubles title. The duo averaged 228,29 to hold of a strong challenge by Stephan Unger/Oliver Rauth, who finished second. Third place belonged to Tommy Wende/Marcus Netzel.
