    2006BTE06NikkiHarvey.jpg 2006BTE06PhilScammell.jpg Former internationals Phil Scammell and Nikki Harvey won the 6th event of the 2006 Brunswick Team England season, the Scott Banks Memorial at AMF Bowling Leeds in Leeds, England.

    Scammell, who led the men's field since the first round, secured his first ranking title this year with high games of 277, 268 and 258 in match play. He finished with 5424 pinfall total and an average of 229,09 over 23 games. Steve Thornton fell 82 pins short of becoming the first multiple champion this season to finish second with 5342. Rob Thurlby was third with 5316.

    Nikki Harvey climbed the ladder to earn the women's title with 4073 pinfall total and an average of 209,37, for 19 games. Harvey was third after Round 1 (10 games) and second after Round 2 (14 games). Harvey rolled a 1047 five-game series in match play and added 95 bonus points to finish first.

    Players received 20 points per win in match play and 10 points each per draw, also 5 points for each score 200-249 and 10 points for each score over 250. Katie Jowsey was second with 4018 and Donna Adams third with 4014.

    Dominic Gall reported that there was some very good bowling this year including a 300 by Gareth Holder, three 299s, one 298 and a house record by 18-year-old local boy Matt Hann with 1102 (278-279-247-298) for four games, an average of 275,5, in Round 2.
