Team members selected for inaugural Men's World Championships in Korea
05/17/06
Arie Fisher, President of the Israel Bowling Federation, has informed us that the team trials for the inaugural Men's World Championships have finished last week.
Or Aviram (left), Yahav Rabin (right), Moshe Shinman, Gal Shemer and Dor Shechter will represent Israel at the Asiad Bowling Center in Busan, Korea, from August 27 through September 9, 2006.
This will be the first time since 1995 that the Israelis can participate in bowling's major international amateur championship.
Due to "visa problems" Israel could not attend the 1999 World Championships in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and the 2003 Worlds in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
